Despite my reservations about an acoustic album by this seemingly straightforward Texas rock band, they delivered some great tracks. This album shows more depth and nuance than I knew they could deliver, which was a welcome surprise. Lewis's voice is still better used as a blunt instrument and is more suited to ragers, but despite this a few of the tracks are as good as their electrified releases. For Toadies fans only, but absolutely worthwhile if you are one.
