5.0 classic
Deafheaven Sunbather
Shining (SWE) IV - The Eerie Cold
Swans To Be Kind
I'm taking a Screen Shot of all these cruddy soundoffs and sending it to Michael Gira himself for some extreme hatred motivation.
The Mummies Never Been Caught
Dressed in rags and drunk as hell, the best garage rock never really sells.

4.5 superb
Johnny Cash Johnny Cash With His Hot And Blue Guitar
Kanye West Yeezus
Yeezus: the only Christ worth following.

4.0 excellent
BABYMETAL Babymetal
Think In Flames blending in every other type of metal except black metal with j-pop vocals, some electronic elements, and a reggae breakdown. It's definitely a contender for the most entertaining metal album this year.
M.I.A. Matangi
A direct, darker, and forthcoming record from the Sri Lankan princess.

3.5 great
Eminem The Marshall Mathers LP 2
I can't believe I listened to what anyone had to say regarding this album here. The first thing of note is how everyone here seemed to pan "The Monster", which didn't even have one single cringe-worthy line and actually worked well. And when I say 'well' I mean way fucking better than the stuff he's already released as singles from the album - which happen to be the two worst songs on the entire thing. Next, he's fixed up his tone and dialed down the shouting which makes even the more cheesier lines easier to digest and enjoy. The album's a nice conclusion to the accumulation of fans, baggage, and lifestyle problems he's gathered throughout the years, and he plays homage to the music that inspired him to devote himself to the industry, the same way people drool over their goofy little favorite artists on a daily basis. If you're panning this album, you're missing the point, and if you're thinking it's the best hip-hop album of the year, you're missing the point too. But if you found yourself getting the feeling that it was still 2002 anywhere throughout the album, then give yourself a pat on the back and continue to enjoy this as it was intended.

1.0 awful
