And our name is "It's A Trap!", it's a star wars reference (Admiral Akbar). Pretty badass, eh? Anyways, our overall sound/genre hasn't been decided yet. Personally, I'd like to avoid confining to one genre. I've always wanted to do a sort of concept album with three seperate stories and for each story a different genre of music that goes with it. Each "story" would be about three tracks long and they would be seperated by instrumental tracks. Also, since I play some trombone I'm going to try and incorporate as much brass into our sound as we can. I may be looking a little far ahead though, we're starting with just some simple covers. Some Neutral Milk Hotel, Brand New, stuff like that.
Btw, we're a fairly large band. Three guitars, one bass, one percussion, keyboard and like I said I'll be putting down the guitar and picking up the brass now and then. Plus four of us are doing vocals, so I think we should be able to get a pretty rich sound.
Anyways, there's no real point to this journal. I'm just venting my excitement and writing some ideas down. I'll let you guys know if we record anything.
