  • rayraypine Do you ever get the impression that Daniel forces himself to do anything? haha! I think he's writing exactly what he wants to write and while he may be going back to some of the roots of his original material, we're going to get some very interesting newer inspired sound thrown in as well. I will miss songs like 1979 and To The Shoreline though... those rank up there for me

  • rayraypine I saw you do a review for Falling Home (solid review, I mostly agree)... and I thought this might interest you, from an interview Daniel did:What's the timetable for the next "regular" Pain of Salvation studio album?Me and Ragnar are writing new music together right now, and it?s seeing the band go back to the roots of the earlier albums. The plan is to go into Jens Bogren?s studio and record it in August or September ? but right now we are ahead of that schedule.

  • Spag It doesn't do anything for me anymore not that it ever really did. The Mantle just feels like a lackluster version of Bergtatt to me with a pleasent but somewhat dull atmosphere. I have to live with the fact that I hate American Black Metal.
