Sinternet
12.02.20 | only artist i've really found this to be the case is lorenzo senni, idk i never seem to get any payoff from his stuff |
porcupinetheater
12.02.20 | Gonna turn this to a communal list of disappointments and wistful gazings-from-a-distance |
someone
12.02.20 | i like 1, 3 and 7 and a little of 2 |
porcupinetheater
12.02.20 | Amen, hoping to be able to take 'em all off the list in due course |
wildinferno2010
12.02.20 | My biggest one is probably meshuggah. It always starts to annoy me after a bit.
Same with 1 and 2 btw |
JohnnyoftheWell
12.02.20 | add Low to the list please. i really should like 1 more, 2's new album was kinda okay though so hmm |
porcupinetheater
12.02.20 | Oh no, Johnny! I'm sorry if my drunk-self shot wrong yelling about Low in your Shoutbox! (Stand by it, though). And Oranssi's new album was a step in the right direction. Gave that shit a 3, highest Pazuzu rating to date. There's hope yet
Big agree, wild, tbh |
Dewinged
12.02.20 | Hell yes the first 2, and 7 and 8. Gotta check the rest. |
JohnnyoftheWell
12.02.20 | please drunkpost me about Low more often!! |
el_newg
12.02.20 | Gojira |
JeremiahBullfrog
12.02.20 | I pretty much created this account to spread the word that Black Veil Brides is a great band. Wretched and Divine. :) |
rellik009
12.02.20 | Björk. Or Radiohead. Depends on the day. |
porcupinetheater
12.02.20 | Jeremiah that is not the point of this list, quite the opposite. Take your positivism elsewhere :]
rellik I will not have Bjork slander on my page but Radiohead gettin' posted. Gotta punch upwards |
JohnnyoftheWell
12.02.20 | rellik clean your filthy mouth out and jam tentenko |
JohnnyoftheWell
12.02.20 | tbh add tentenko too |
sixdegrees
12.02.20 | cant think of any |

12.02.20 | Pere Ubu |

12.02.20 | oh shit my bad porc, in that case then:
Kanye west - I love hip hop, but i just think they guy can't rap to save his life, and I think that's as important as being a great producer (which he undeniably is) |
JeremiahBullfrog
12.02.20 | oh shit my bad porc, in that case then:

anat
12.02.20 | julien baker and phoebe bridgers - find them both utterly insipid and frequently wonder what i'm missing/wait for that one moment where it all clicks |
ReturnToRock
12.02.20 | Pink Floyd. Everyone seems to find them the greatest thing since sliced bread. I...kind of like The Wall, but that's about it.
Radiohead - I like Creep. I find most of the rest of what they do a bit over-pretentious for the sake of being over-pretentious.
Led Zeppelin - I like them, but I don't love them.
That's the main ones I keep coming back to. |
Avagantamos
12.02.20 | mouse on mars |
NeroCorleone
12.02.20 | Sonic Youth. I like a lot of bands that are influenced by or get compared to them, but they dont really do much for me. |
rellik009
12.02.20 | "-that one dude"
*two
"rellik clean your filthy mouth out and jam tentenko"
"rellik I will not have Bjork slander on my page"
I like those vibes m/en, but I think Björk is mank at the moment
|
ArsMoriendi
12.02.20 | Hmmm people keep telling me I'd love Animal Collective, but I hated Strawberry Jam when I listened to it... and all of the singles from Merriweather Post Pavilion... Floridada, and Grass did nothing for me either.
Ugh and then people will compare them to late 60s Beach Boys, or whatever neo-psych band I'm into and I just don't see it. |
LeddSledd
12.02.20 | Cult of Luna - post metal that i should be digging hard but is just good or pretty good. I mean, I like it, but even the (supposed) best of their albums just aren't really compelling to me. |
wildinferno2010
12.02.20 | I feel the same about Russian Circles. I went to see them live last year and it was fucking boring |
ReturnToRock
12.02.20 | Oh yeah, Tool! Same reasoning as Floyd but I see it even less. |
MyFriendMetatron
12.03.20 | As the Roots Undo. I'm about to listen again but I think it will still fall flat with me 16 years later. |
Egarran
12.03.20 | Cult of Luna [2]
Deathspell Omega
I've tried, Satan knows I've tried, but I get little from these bands.
|
Lord(e)Po)))ts
12.03.20 | fuck a bork |

12.03.20 | I know two Ought songs and they both fuckin rip |

12.03.20 | Oh I get it. Oughta |
porcupinetheater
12.03.20 | Updated, keep the "I'm not mad, I'm disappointed energy comin' |
Dewinged
12.03.20 | I would say getting bodied by The Body fits this list |
bloodshy
12.03.20 | Dir En Grey
They sound like a good band, and everyone else likes them. But when I'm listening, it sounds like all the band members are playing different songs to the same rhythm, and it's very jarring for me. |
porcupinetheater
12.03.20 | Updated, bloodshy, you monster |
JohnnyoftheWell
12.03.20 | bloodshy hasn't heard Arche (idk has he?) |
porcupinetheater
12.03.20 | The answer may surprise you! Tune in at 8pm (7pm CT) to see the thrilling conclusion!
Prob not tho |
Mythodea
12.03.20 | - Ulcerate, though I'm not a huge black/death metal fan, but I think I'd like the atmosphere, turns out no
-Periphery, I love prog, I feel ''meh'' towards these dudes |
Egarran
12.03.20 | agerd with those too |
rellik009
12.03.20 | Agreed ahrd on 33 |
Mythodea
12.03.20 | smae |
chemicalmarriage
12.03.20 | Opeth. Winter here and opeth has been sounding amazing. Still Life on the turntable right now |
wildinferno2010
12.03.20 | I have the opposite reaction to 33. Sometimes it bothers me that I don't hate Periphery more.
P2 was a good record |
Mythodea
12.03.20 | @wildinferno A close friend LOVES Periphery and knows all about them. I'm trying hard to like them, I even appreciated most of Hail Stan. But I wouldn't put them on. |
rabidfish
12.03.20 | nothing. i have perfect, flawless, impecable taste. everything i don't enjoy immediately is inherently worthless and basically trash. |
wildinferno2010
12.03.20 | Is it the clean vocals? I hate them too lol
If you're still trying to like them and you haven't heard PII, I guess I would recommend giving it a shot. The songs are so good that the singing is mostly palatable |
Mythodea
12.03.20 | I'm not fond of the vocals, yes, and the vocalist is very important for me to like a band.
I'll give PII a shot and we'll see. |
Senetrix666
12.03.20 | im shook seeing cult of luna on this list. |
LeddSledd
12.03.20 | @Senetrix sorry bro :/
@Mytho I'm with porc, stick with Ulcerate. It'll grow on you so hard, I used to think it was monotonous and mediocre |
Mythodea
12.03.20 | @LeddSledd, Porc sounds like he doensn't like Ulcerate... Is he being sarcastic? Is this how thin irony tastes like? |
LeddSledd
12.03.20 | No offense but ur reading into it too much, Ulcerate is friggin good. And Porc would also say so (I would think) |
porcupinetheater
12.03.20 | Yeah I love Ulcerate, Everything (except Vermis) is Fire
Periphery sucks, tho |
StonedManatee
12.03.20 | The Flaming Lips, I can't get into them for the life of me. |
NeroCorleone
12.04.20 | where did the ep thing come from |
porcupinetheater
12.05.20 | I don't know, Man. Wrote it stoned in the middle of the night, could not excavate the purpose with a plow and I ain't even got a shovel |
BlazinBlitzer
12.30.20 | Ulcerate. Every LP they've ever made has been a 3/5 and it will probably stay that way forever. |
