10.27.18 | Fuck yes Midwife! Definitely one of my favorite tracks from Arche. It’s so haunting and weirdly beautiful at first and then just goes crazy. I also really like Devote My Life from the new album which like Midwife was also written by their bassist Toshiya. It feels like a sequel to Midwife almost but more direct. All of these songs are good. I always got the feeling that Kodoku was a fan favorite. For underrated tracks or at least ones I don’t see talked about as much I’d also say Midwife, and probably Beautiful Dirt, Audience Killer Loop, The Deeper Vileness, Itoshisa, Ugly, 304, Aoi Tsuki, Inconvenient Ideal, Bugaboo, Pink Killer (a lot of people hate it and the lyrics are bad but I like it since it was one of their earlier attempts at being really aggressive), Dreambox. Ruten no Tou and Shitataru off the top of my head. | Rik VII
10.30.18 | How did I miss this list? Midwife is one of Arche's best for sure, Kyo's live performances of it tend to be completely insane. Can't really agree with Akatsuki though, I've never liked the chorus and it's probably my least favorite song on Dum Spiro Spero. It's still a great song (background vocals are fun etc), but it's got a rough competition since the rest of the album is mostly basically unbeatable. | EvoHavok
10.30.18 | Finally some deserved love for "Akatsuki". |
