10.31.22 | Honestly have always preferred PlayStation but the $100 price difference and the fact that my main friend I play with is Xbox was enough for me to stick with an Xbox this time around. Not to mention that I already had like 100 games under my gamertag from when I had my Xbox One between buying stuff digital and all the months of free games with gold downloads
That said I more than likely will still buy a PS5 if a good sale runs. Always preferred their exclusives, controller and they've got the nostalgia factor due to me growing up on it, NES and N64 exclusively |

I actually bought Siege when it came out and forgot I even had it. Had a lot of fun with it the months following it's release though so I'll have to reinstall it.

I started Witcher 3 a few years back and got a little into it but never got to finish. Plan to buy it eventually for sure. When I tried it I was system sharing with someone and never actually owned it on my own.
Control looks interesting. And Doom Eternal looked sick when I saw some footage before it's release. I really dig the one that came before it so it should be a fun time. Also planning on going back to play Doom 3. Never got around to it back when it came out. |

@Wretched: I pretty much just work and chill at home these days so I've got a solid amount of free time. I'm weird with video games though. I'll have a year where I don't touch them then I have little burst where that's all I'll do with 80-90% of my free time. Depends on my mood really. If you think about it most activities people partake in are kind of a meaningless endeavor lol |

11.02.22 | No, it is straight up. Medieval warfare push siege towers into the castle gates. Climb them and storm. Total visceral combat. You can also be a Bowman and cheap shot everybody but prefer the hands-on head-to-head. There's a beginner mode to get familiar with the combat since there's a pretty steep learning curve, but you can also do mounted combat mode, 40 v40 or 64 v64 which is just absolute chaos |

Also have Chivalry II downloading now so hopefully when I get off work tomorrow I can try it out. Went ahead and downloaded DayZ also after seeing a video that made it seem pretty fun. Dropped into a server for a moment on it before bed and it seems decent. Ran around for awhile though and every house I rummaged through was completely devoid of items aside from the occasional shirt and I died fairly quickly from zombie attacks lol.
I looked up Hunt Showdown and have 100% decided I'm definitely buying it soon also. Looks amazing |

I know videos have been made about it, and rdr1 was the same way, but I didn't feel like it did enough to differentiate itself from its predecessor in that aspect. the narrative too gets a lot more credit than it deserves imo. I found it kind of predictable and the idea of making the game's protagonist a totally new character not featured in rdr1 was weird. also wtf is going on with how bad John looks throughout the game lol? it's a fine game considering we had such a prolonged dearth of great games, but I found it very underwhelming it's a lot of style over substance. it reminds me of the film the revenant. |
