Evreaia 12.05.18	I was pleasantly surprised by the Conjuring (both of them) though, and those got branded "the exorcist of this generation". But yeah, paranormal activity has to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen.
StrikeOfTheBeast 12.05.18	Definitely a one of a kind horror flick. I appreciated how it held back on the jump scares and emphasized on sheer dread and atmosphere. Best horror film of the year.

DarkSideOfLucca 12.05.18	This was my favorite movie of the year, I'm actually kind of surprised that it's split among horror fans. And the horror elements of the end are very different from Rosemary's Baby...I mean there's a cult, so that's similar but that's literally it.

DungeonBoy 12.05.18	@Lucca, I feel like people who appreciate atmospheric horror and overwhelming dread enjoyed Hereditary. Horror fans include people who just enjoy jump scare found footage movies too, and while I'm a fan of those, I appreciate what they did with Hereditary. It makes you feel absolutely terrible while watching it, and for that I give it a 5/5. @Jeet, Heck yeah man, I watched it last night and my mind was blown. What a movie.

TheGreatQ 12.05.18	I didn’t mean the Rosemary’s Baby comparison to say it was ripping it off, just that they were similar (there certainly are huge differences) and I didn’t like it in either movie. Also forgot to mention this before but the cinematography was amazing even during the parts I wasn’t a fan of content-wise.

butt. 12.05.18	I enjoyed it because they almost ended it with her falling asleep at the table. There was a long black pause, and I was reeeally hoping for a bigger ending. And then it comes back on, now at night time. I was fucking stoked. I wanted it to go full out cult/satanic. The visual of those ugly naked witches worshipping around the fire was sick, and the way she started floating up, laughing, then seamlessly turns to crying, was just fantastic. That last shot of her floating up in front of the trees (along with the terrifying music) really stuck with me. I felt fully gratified after that ending. Without it, everyone would have complained that the movie wasn't really about witches at all and just another family drama
