|CD 102.5 Day 1|
Local alternative station put on a two day concert. Just got home from day 1. Day 2 is next Saturday.
Headlined day 1. They rule live, and Jack pointed to me at one point and said "yeah, keep on signing man!" That was fun. Was a little disappointed that they didn't do "Bullet" like last time I saw them but I'm seeing them again tomorrow so hopefully they will then.
Replaced George Ezra because he went on SNL instead. Really enjoyed them and the singer's sideboob.
They were pretty good, but they took way too long to set up and some of their songs were rather bland and lifeless. Female vocalist's mic was also way too low for a good portion of their set.
EDIT: Just listened to her songs on iTunes and they are almost completely unrecognizable.
You are not Cristina Scabbia, don't try to sing like her. Seriously, their whole sound seemed based around the song she did with Apocalyptica, with shittier vocals. She screamed like the vocalist of Jack Off Jill, which was nice but she didn't do it much so it wasn't much of a plus. The cellist was the best part.
Fun, very British pop rock. If they had a little more energy it would have been great.
|6||William the Accountant|
Local band that won a contest to play. They weren't the best, but they had so much energy and were just plain fun that it didn't matter. Great opening act.
