06.17.08 | These songs aren't the best but they're pretty easy. Please give me other songs that are good for beginners. | Jim
06.17.08 | shit like the beatles and pink floyd shouldn't be too much of a stretch. they use pretty straight forward chords and such and are good for singalongs. | ASberg
06.17.08 | Through the fires and flames! no but Seek and destroy or Born to be wild would be something? | Mendigo
06.17.08 | reminds me of the time I started to learn guitar ;)
these are some more songs I started with:
Nirvana - Come as You Are
The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
The Beatles - I Feel Fine
Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven
Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven (until the solo comes in)
the last three are much better, but a little bit more difficult. however, after some practicing they aren't that much of a problem anymore.
btw, it's lynyrd skynyrd. | PayneTiger777
06.17.08 | You probably don't like Staind, but some of their songs would be easy to play like Outside and It's Been A While. I remember my cousin used to play those. Also, try Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. | Bfhurricane
06.17.08 | Through The Fire And Flames | ninjuice
06.17.08 | Here's some easy chord-based songs:
Rise Against - Swing Life Away
Weird Al - The Saga Begins
Death Cab For Cutie - I Will Follow You Into the Dark, Your Heart is an Empty Room.
These bands have pretty easy songs:
Death Cab, Coldplay, Newsboys, Switchfoot, The Beatles. | jimay333
06.17.08 | Plug your iPod into a different computer that has iTunes, it will ask you if you want to sync or not (hit not). Then enable manage music manually. So now when you plug it into your own computer you can use a iPod music retreiving program (Just google it). Hope you didn't erase your library yet! | masscows
06.17.08 | learn Darkthrone-Transilvanian Hunger
I played that song without every having played guitar before a while back | Masochist
06.17.08 | Try "Brain Stew" by Green Day. If you can't play that one, then you need to switch to bass, LOL! (No, but I'm serious, if you can't play that five-chord song, you ought to KISS your guitar goodbye immediately).
Anyways, try "Radio" by Alkaline Trio. That one's always fun to play. And "Dance of the Manatee" may or may not be a tad bit tricky at first, but it's easy to pick up because the guitar parts aren't too technical and they repeat the same parts throughout the song.
Then there's a few songs by The Offrpring. "Pretty Fly (For A White Guy)," "Self Esteem," or for slightly more challenging, "The Kids Aren't Alright."
Oh, and about half the Nu Metal songs by generic artists. You could probably learn to play Linkin Park's entire discography in a week by playing on and off. "Animals" by Nickelback is really easy, and one of only two songs by them I'd ever recommend anyone listen to for any reason.
Anyways...don't know if you're into any of those, but that's what I would start out with. Of course, there's always DragonForce... |
