2013 Through The Peephole

I haven't been very diligent listening to music this year. As many of you already know, my new job/80 minute commute/girlfriend has consumed all of my free time. Still, I've happened upon some really good albums this year. Here's my top 10 as we approach the year's halfway mark: 2013 in the limited scope through which I've heard it.
10Joshua Radin
Wax Wings

Gorgeous. His most consistent album yet, although there's no "Winter" or "Closer."
9The Flaming Lips
The Terror

This intrigues me but I struggle to sit through it consistently. It will probably climb this list as the year goes on and I find more time to listen to it.
8OneRepublic
Native

I don't care what anyone says.
7Woodkid
The Golden Age

If you haven't heard "I Love You", then you're missing out on one of the year's most romantic indie-hipster songs.
6Vampire Weekend
Modern Vampires of the City

Grew on me. Officially love "Hudson."
5Trvth
Black Horse Plague

Fvck yeah.
4Laura Stevenson
Wheel

Better than Sit Resist.
3Justin Timberlake
The 20/20 Experience

Took a long time for me to appreciate this, and maybe it's just a result of countless hours in the car to/from work, but this is near the top of 2013 so far for me.
2Steve Mason
Monkey Minds In The Devil's Time

Seems as though this slipped by a lot of people...it's a shame, because it's one of the best albums that I've heard in 2-3 years. Listen to "Lonely."
1Steven Wilson
The Raven That Refused to Sing

To me, this trumps anything he's done solo or with Porcupine Tree. This is Wilson's magnum opus, and it won't need to age for very long to become a classic in my book.
