Based out of Albany, OR, Falling Up originated nearly five years ago while the guys were still in high school. This was thedream of leadvocalist Jessy Ribordy, Jeremy Miller (bass player), Josh Shroy (drummer) and Joe Kisselburgh (guitar). Falling Upwas signed to the BEClabel the summer of 2003 and in the time to follow they recorded their debut album Crashings(produced by Aaron Sprinkle ?Kutless,[L]Jeremy Camp[/L]) which was released February 2004. A huge hit at radio,Crashings garnered three #1 back to back rock singlesincluding "Broken Heart" which was R&R's rock song of the year for2004 and the song of the year for the Air1 network. All three songs,"Broken Heart," "Bittersweet" and "Escalates" were alsobreakthrough hits on R&R?s CHR format. The videos for "Broken Heart" and"Bittersweet" also went #1 on the widely popularTVU Network. Falling Up has sold nearly 100,000 copies of their debut album.Mike Snider of Third Coast Agency, states,"Falling Up has to be the hardest working band on the Third Coast roster. I don't recall a time inthe last two years when theytook a break from touring or recording. All that hard work has paid off in building an extremely loyal fan base onthe road. Theyare the next break out band and with this new record will surely go to the next level."Jessy Ribordy, lead singer of Falling Up,elaborates, "This record is more true musically and lyrically to Falling Up than past?s efforts. Ourcreative partnership withMichael "Elvis" Baskette (Chevelle, Cold) really defined where we wanted to be musically and wherewe wanted togo with this record. We are really excited about sharing it with the fans live.?This album builds upon the musical foundationsthey established on their debut release and shows an incredible musical growth andmaturity in the band's evolvement. DawnEscapes is the birth of an exciting new musical horizon for Falling Up.From: BEC Recordings « hide
