Born in 1973, Damien Rice is an Irish singer/songwriter and former member of Bell X1. Up until 2006's sophomore album 9, he was quite well-known for only releasing one full album, 2002's O. The album was highly praised among both critics and fans, and subsequently Rice remained prominent while he recorded his follow-up.
