Running along with other Symphonic 70s Prog bands like Yes and ELP, Genesis made theatrical albums driven by stellar keyboard and guitar work, as well as charismatic lead singer (from 1969-1974) Peter Gabriel. After classic Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett left a few years after Gabriel, Genesis went into a commercial pop direction, lead by drummer-turned-singer Phil Collins. Collins left in the 90s, "Genesis" released one more album and disbanded. There have been rumours of a classic line-up reunion lately.
