Motion City Soundtrack Even If It Kills Me4.0
While not quite a classic album, Even If It Kills Me is certainly a standout in today's endless ocean of utter crap. Motion City Soundtrack takes a slightly poppier turn with this new album, but it stays true to its style of frenzied punk influenced rock. (I don't straight out call it punk, because I call the Ramones, old Green Day, and Blink-182 punk. This does not sound like them.) Even If It Kills Me is an album filled with fast-paced songs with catchy tunes and thoughtful lyrics. Motion City Soundtrack was already a band deserving of more recognition, and this album really makes you wonder why the hell Fall Out Boy is popular and these much more talented guys aren't.

Barcelona Absolutes4.5
This is an amazing album. I scored a free copy after one of their shows, and have been listening to it ever since. It is melodic and forceful, and holds a certain appeal for me that I haven't heard for a while. Something about it sounding like the many-way love child of Death Cab for Cutie, The Fray, and a few other assorted bands. If you enjoy indie rock, then I can say with confidence that you will not be disappointed by this album.
