Instead, what "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues" gives the listener is a more focused and "concentrated" BTBAM. As much as the announcement of this EP lead me to believe that their new label, Metal Blade, was attempting a quick cash-in of their new artist, after a few listens, it becomes clear that this is their best work since "Colors". While a typical BTBAM album usually consists of 5-8 tracks and clocking in around 50 minutes to an hour, "The Parallax" halves that. As a BTBAM fan, this would normally be discouraging, but the result is a focused half hour of killer progressive technical wizadry without the filler.2010 Sonic Syndicate We Rule the Night1.0Periphery Periphery4.5Veil of Maya [id]3.5Dioramic Technicolor4.0In Mourning Monolith4.0Through the Eyes of the Dead Skepsis3.5Lil Wayne Rebirth1.02009 Painted in Exile Revitalized4.0HRVRD The Inevitable And I4.0A Wilhelm Scream A Wilhelm Scream3.5Them Crooked Vultures Them Crooked Vultures3.5The Empire Shall Fall Awaken3.5Between the Buried and Me The Great Misdirect4.5Dewey Decimal & the System O Pioneers!3.5The Arusha Accord The Echo Verses4.0Ancestors Of Sound Mind4.5It Dies Today Lividity1.5After the Burial Rareform (Re-release)4.0Every Time I Die New Junk Aesthetic4.5Emmure Felony1.5Four Year Strong Explains It All3.0Gets the essentials of a covers album right: recognizable song choices and fun covers, but the album as a whole lacks depth and will probably wear thin for most people relatively quickly.Rx Bandits Mandala4.5An excellent album that sees the RX Bandits maturing and growing from even their most well received album (arguably). Standout tracks: White Lies, March of the Caterpillar, Hope is a Butterfly, No Net Its Captor.Augury Fragmentary Evidence4.0Born of Osiris A Higher Place4.0Killswitch Engage Killswitch Engage (2009)2.5brokeNCYDE I'm Not a Fan, but the Kids Like It!1.0Karnivool Sound Awake4.5Psychostick Sandwich3.0Maze Empires and Endings4.0Mastodon Crack the Skye4.0Lamb of God Wrath3.0As a fan of Lamb of God's previous releases, this album was somewhat of a disappointment. It is still a solid album, but it just seems to lack the pure aggression that their previous albums had running through them.Scale the Summit Carving Desert Canyons4.52008 La Dispute Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair 4.5The Faceless Planetary Duality5.0Bloodstained Memory Meet Your Maker3.5Cynic Traced in Air4.5Gojira The Way of All Flesh5.0Exit Ten Remember The Day3.5Nachtmystium Assassins: Black Meddle Pt.13.0Emmure The Respect Issue2.0Ansur Warring Factions4.5Veil of Maya The Common Man's Collapse3.5MyChildren MyBride Unbreakable2.5Protest the Hero Fortress4.52007 Waking The Cadaver Perverse Recollections Of A Necromangler1.5Behold...
