A Lot Like Birds No Place
Famous Last Words Two-Faced Charade
Such a breath of fresh air for the metalcore genre. Something that doesn't fall into forced song structures. Fantastic vocals that are super catchy. Also the album is a concept story that is very fun. If you don't like metalcore or post hardcore I can't guarantee you will enjoy this. But if you have an open mind this is my choice for best metalcore release of 2013. If you like Crown The Empire or Blessthefall jump on this now.

Korn See You on the Other Side
Korn The Paradigm Shift
Mod Sun Look Up
Mod Sun might not be a master producer and lyricist, but his songs are fun and truly uplifting. The absolute perfect summer album. I've listened to it virtually everyday for the past 9 months. He's authentically inspiring!

The Illumination Departures
Unbelievably catchy. Singing is excellent. Full of anthems. Unfortunately the heavy parts are mediocre. You've heard all of the chugs before. Decent but nothing special. But the melody is a driving force that is worth checking out. Listen to "A chance to change my ways"
Twenty One Pilots Blurryface

4.0 excellent
Artist Vs Poet Remember This
Asking Alexandria From Death to Destiny
This is such an odd bag to rate. They fix some things critics hate them for, and then fall into other problems. First off the overused breakdowns and the electronic dance AA! has been notorious for is gone. I'm not saying that is good or bad. AA! Was an indulgent band for me. Just plain heavy, simple fun. They've decided they don't want to be that anymore. So here's the good. They have added the old school Rock n Roll feel they've hinted at so many times in other songs. They are breaking the mold, and it is refreshing. But they are falling into other molds... Song structures are repetitive and uninteresting compared to those on previous albums. The album includes fantastic songs (Don't Pray For Me, Moving On, Run Free) and boring songs (Until The End, Poison). Give it a shot with an open mind. I respect them for pursuing exactly what they want. I think that's what AA! has been about all along. I for one wish it was a little heavier. And I wish they had let Joey Sturgis handle all the aspects... They let him record, but David Bendeth handled mixing duties and its so muddy. Still a fun listen if you give it a chance.

Honestly one of the best albums in the metalcore genre (in my opinion). Everyone goes into this album with preconceived views. Previous fans are disappointed that it is more metal than 'core,' and that the glossy production is gone while critics are still sad that there is any 'core' left in the sound at all. This is album is very balanced in my opinion, and showcases many sides of the band. 12 songs may be a little too long, but I can listen to it straight through with occasionally skipping one or two tracks.

An excellent mix of hardcore, metalcore, and little touches of post hardcore. A lot of fun. Production is nicely done by Landon Tewers of The Plot in You fame. Breakdowns are well used, don't sound stale and refrain from being overtly generic. Screamed vocals range from typical metalcore mid ranges to a hardcore yell. Clean vocals have a punk rock/post hardcore edge that isn't cliche. Lyrics are loud and fun. Check this out!
