While their sound remains very listenable, with this album they reduced themselves to a blatant, somewhat colorless average Deathcore riff fest. The transitions are a bit too simple, the sound overall flows nicely but it's way more linear than the band's past releases, making it a poor experience for their early followers. The Death Metal influences are growing more evident, while their breakdown vein is mostly drying. Nonetheless, it's a solid effort. Heavy, moody and balanced. Just not the Whitechapel every Deathcore fan will be looking for. |
