5.0 classic
Arcade Fire Funeral
I don't think there's really anything left to say about Funeral, but I will anyway. It's brilliant, it's beautiful, it's epic, it's fantastic, it's genius....Arcade Fire is the greatest band on earth.
Arcade Fire The Suburbs
I don't care about the type of reviews where every technicality of the album is dissected and analyzed based on some made-up criteria. All I care about is how the album makes me feel, and The Suburbs connects with me emotionally more than any other album has. I love this album deeply, and I don't care what anyone thinks: I feel this is the one of the best albums ever made.
Fleetwood Mac Rumours
You know an album must be truly great when it can be played over and over again for decades, and, more than a generation later, it is still wildly popular. This album has stood the test of time, and will continue to do so.

4.5 superb
City and Colour Little Hell

4.0 excellent
Fall Out Boy Folie a Deux
Lady Gaga The Fame Monster
Marianas Trench Masterpiece Theatre
I really enjoy this. I think each song does what it's supposed to; the upbeat songs like "Cross My Heart" make me smile and dance, the ballads like "Beside You" are sweet and sensitive..."Acadia" is full of nostalgia for youth, and the Masterpiece Theatre tracks actually manage to be epic rather than laughable. Somebody told me that if you like Hedley, you like Marianas Trench....this is not true. Hedley sucks. Marianas Trench doesn't.
Metric Fantasies
Three Days Grace One-X

3.5 great
Coldplay X&Y
Lady Gaga The Fame
Paramore Brand New Eyes
Stevie Nicks Trouble In Shangri-La
The Fray How to Save a Life
Thirty Seconds to Mars This Is War

3.0 good
Adam Lambert For Your Entertainment
I think a lot of people are still homophobic and therefore make fun of Adam Lambert. Truth is, he's got an incredible voice, and this album is a lot of fun.
Bat For Lashes Two Suns
She is definitely a talented woman, but most of the album just wasn't for me. It feels kind of like a fantasy novel, but not one I overly enjoy. I have nothing but respect for Bat For Lashes, and admire her artistry, but it is not a personal favourite.
Kelly Clarkson Breakaway
Three Days Grace Three Days Grace

2.5 average
Gwen Stefani Love. Angel. Music. Baby.
This is a danceable album, but it doesn't have much staying power. I remember liking this when it came out, but now that I listen to it years later, and after the overplaying of its singles on the radio, I realize that there wasn't really anything special about it.
Joss Stone Colour Me Free!
Joss has a great voice and is a great performer, but this album was missing something. I really liked "Free Me" and "Incredible", along with a couple of others, but I found it just got kind of repetitive as it went on...
Katy Perry One of the Boys
Muse The Resistance
Nelly Furtado Loose
The Fray The Fray
It is not that there is really anything bad about this album, it's that there really isn't much good about it. The majority of the tracks are extremely bland and generic, offering little feeling or creativity. While I do like "Happiness", and "Absolute" is pretty catchy, I thought this was a major disappointment.

2.0 poor
Ashlee Simpson I Am Me
I know that this is a bad album, but it actually manages to be quite catchy. This is the type of record i would define as a guilty pleasure
The Veronicas Hook Me Up

1.5 very poor
Avril Lavigne The Best Damn Thing
Before this album came out, I liked Avril Lavigne. Her early work had good lyrics and a seeming authenticity to it. The Best Damn Thing entirely changed my opinion of her, and for the worse. It really is a terrible, terrible album. There are a couple of songs that are not overly disgraceful - "Contagious" and "Hot" - , which is why I don't give this an even lower rating, but " I Don't Have To Try" is quite possibly one of the worst songs ever written. Avril seems to be attempting some sort of screamo at times, and it just doesn't work. On other tracks, she just comes off as an overall obnoxious person. I hate this. I absolutely hate it. It's not even the kind of music that's bad yet catchy, it's just awful
