Overall
This is the second release from Canada Electro-Indie Quartet Tokyo Police Club. last year i was introduced to Elephant Shell (Debut 2008) by a friend and thought that it was a really good consistent release, However, the album sounded like the band needed to do some maturing in their sound to really suck me into the music. When i decided to finally listen to the album from start to finish i had really great expectations having heard the songs "Bambi" and "Breakneck Speed" beforehand. For the first half of the album i was in almost a state of awe, each song that i was hearing had everything that i loved about elephant shell, but with more energy and focus. However, on the second half of the album (Tracks 6-11) i was surprisingly underwhelmed by the tracks. Almost every song on this half of the album (Excluding Frankenstein) seemed almost like filler songs that compared to the first 5 songs, Seemed to cause the momentum and excitement i was feeling to minimize greatly. The songs themselves are listenable, However, Tokyo Police Club started the album with their five strongest tracks, Its not more of a case of bad music but, bad organization.

Strengths
Dave Monk's voice- Seems to be clearer and less whiny than the first few demos and albums

Production- on this album is great, each instrument can be heard equally and the effect on the guitar and keyboard blew me away

Weaknesses
Organization- The album has a few fillers (Not a horrible thing) but all of the fillers come after the best songs on the album, which really slows momentum for the listener.

1.5 very poor
Jamiroquai Dynamite
