This ladies and gentlemen, is one of trance's greats. Whether it be the various amounts of
progression in the songs, or the fact that this sounds like one huge consistent song without
missing a beat. One thing is for sure though, this album is classic, and the fact that this
album only has gotten very little attention only goes to show how overwhelming this album is.
However, this is one of those rare times when overwhelming is an extremely excellent thing. |

Eminem The Slim Shady LP
Armed with a twisted sense of humor, and lyrical contnent umatched by any other rapper at the time, Eminem dropped his first classic. The playful and almost cartoonish vibe of this album was enough to be accessible and yet utterly disurbing at the same time. His flow was amazing, and with complex lyrical patterns such as "He came into the bathroom while I was pissin', then put me into the position to beat me into submission." Complex lines such as these are scattered all thoughout this album, and even the overall mood is playful, Eminem was not fucking around. When an album contains songs such as "97' Bonnie & Clyde", and "Rock Bottom", it shows deep personal insight on his life. It's this balance that Eminem strikes that makes the album so great, and a surefire hip-hop classic.

It seems that all the goodness of music, electronic or otherwise; seem to have a greater calling inside this marvelous work of art. This album always seems to be dreaming of a better time, a time where everyone can be friends; and where everything is at peace. This vision is imagined perfectly in the way of beautiful synth-sounds, giving this album an undeniable 80's vibe. This truely feels like a breath of fresh air for a music industry that's less than stellar, and... It just makes you feel like the stresses of the world are above you.

Beautiful and majestic in every sense of the word, this album perfectly captures the essence of pop music; and the 80's decade as a whole. This masterpiece captivates the listener in the way beautiful synthesized melodies, and a focus on an threatic atmosphere. On tracks such as "Listen", this focus is perfectly evident in the way of a dulcet piano riff and synthizer effects tacked on almost naturally. Then there's also the more upbeat, empowering songs such as "Shout" which maintain the melodic vibe while adding that overwhelming sense of "This should be used as a soundtrack for the epic moments of my life."
