A Perfect Circle Mer de Noms
Above and Beyond Tri State
Trance is one of those dividing genres of eletronic music. To some part of the population
who listen to music as a hobby, trance usually rises some stereotypical judging the same way
dubstep now does too. But sometimes you come across work that is so well made, so carefully
crafted and yet very sincere that you can't help but to be amazed. It's the case with Tri
State. Probably the best trance album i've ever heard, and definately in among the best
electronic music i've come across.rIf you feel like giving trance a chance, and want to
start some place where your brains won't be fried from the excessive stimulus, i recommend
this album.rIt's one of the classiest eletronic albums of all time. Everything is measured
with thoughtfulness. You are never once overwhelmed by the bpm, noise, processing or
anything. rVocal work is amazing. Richard Bedford could easily be something much bigger if
he wanted to. (See what happened to Sia Furler, who started out singing for the downtempo
group, Zero 7).r

Rectifying the score. There isn't a single second of this album wasted in mediocrity. It ranges to Good to Mind blowing.
Porcupine Tree Deadwing
Porcupine Tree In Absentia
Radiohead Kid A
The Hellacopters By the Grace of God
Not a single wasted second in this album. It's good from get go, gets really high, barely falls off. Awesome all around, top to bottom. Fun, well composed, well played, memorable catchy tracks, while everyone was slobbering The Strokes' balls, these guys were making some real classic rock.
Ulver The Assassination of Julius Caesar

4.5 superb
A Perfect Circle Thirteenth Step
Big Wreck Ghosts
Black Book Lodge Tundra
This band should be blowing up right now.rThey are very very good in everything they do. They write well and all of them are good musicians. Even the lyrics, which, coming from foreign bands sometimes get a little awkward or wonky, are amazing. Has that norse soul thing that permeates their music and gives it that unique flavor. Highlights are the songs Prodigal son and Tundra. This is a damn fine debut.rListen to this album!!

ISIS In the Absence of Truth
The album has weakspots.rBut "Not in rivers, but in Drops", "Holy Tears" and lastly but most importantly, the best song Isis has ever written, "Garden of Light" made me rethink the rating. Wasn't feeling it when first released. But i've listented to it some 50 times in the past month.

4.0 excellent
Above and Beyond Group Therapy
Almost pop. But still very very very good. Qualitywise singing is waaaay above what you'd expect in an electronic music album.
At the Drive-In Relationship of Command
Bigbang Radio Radio TV Sleep
In terms of performance this has got to be one of the best live albums i've ever listened to. Energy is great. There's a bit of sloppyness with the live mix, but must've been one epic fucking concert. Just a fun, legit rock band. I stumbled upon them while listening to Todd Terje (Olaf, Todd's older brother is the drummer for this band).
