5.0 classic
Antonio Vivaldi The Four Seasons
Can you really give this less than a 5?
Black Sabbath Paranoid
Bob Marley and The Wailers Exodus
Probably the best reggae artist of all time. All the songs on this album are classics.
Bob Marley and The Wailers Legend
Boston Boston
Camel Mirage
cLOUDDEAD cLOUDDEAD

The music on this album is some of the most frantic and intense I've ever heard. Every song is original and creative and the album flows great
Cynic Traced in Air
Daft Punk Discovery

Deftones best album. Amazing lyrics and vocals on top of crushing yet melodic guitars and groovin drums. Every song creates a unique and amazing atmosphere.
Dispatch Bang Bang
DJ Shadow Endtroducing.....
Elliott Smith Either/Or
Every Time I Die The Big Dirty
Every Time I Die has really perfected their sound on this release, finally reaching the perfect mix of southern metal and dissonant hardcore they have been striving for. Vocalist Kieth Buckley just tears through this album without a care in the world, delivering some rather hilarious lyrics in the process.
Fleet Foxes Helplessness Blues
Flying Lotus Cosmogramma
The most insane electronic trip hop album I've ever heard. The sounds flylo creates are unlike any you've heard before. Some truly original music
Flying Lotus Los Angeles
Guthrie Govan Erotic Cakes
Howard Shore The Return of the King
The soundtrack to one of my favorite movies. The amazing orchestration created by Howard Shore added so much to the movie.
Incubus Make Yourself
I love every thing about this band. From the always audible bass to the DJ scratching to the great lyrics and guitar playing, everything about this album is original and catchy.
Kanye West Graduation
Mr. West creates a smart and meaningful album with this release, while at the same time dishing out his catchiest material yet. Flashing Lights, The Good Life, Everything I Am and Can't Tell Me Nothing are works of genius hip-hop that deserve nothing less than a classic rating.
Kyuss Welcome To Sky Valley
Stoner Metal Perfection. r
Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin III
Led Zeppelin Houses of the Holy
Led Zeppelin. The most bad ass rock group to ever live. My favorite of their albums
Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin [DVD]
Lydia Illuminate
I just love what the musicians in this band create on every track. Its simple music yet its beautiful and keeps you pulled in. Every track flows perfectly into the next making it an album you can listen to all the way through.
Massive Attack Mezzanine
Considered to be the most classic trip-hop album that helped pave the way to many other artists emerging on the scene. Dark and sensual.r
Miles Davis Kind of Blue
Put this on on a rainy day and it doesn't get much better. Some of the best material from the biggest innovator of jazz.
Minus the Bear Menos El Oso
The chillest album i've heard. It makes me think of sitting on the beach with someone you love while drinking lots of alcohol. This aint a surfin movie!
My Morning Jacket Okonokos
Nas Illmatic
Neil Young On the Beach
Noisia Split The Atom
Alright this is the best drum & bass album ever. Ya dig????????????????????
Noisia Exodus
Nujabes Metaphorical Music
Pearl Jam Ten
The first time I heard this, which was quite recently, I just just knew it was a classic. Eddie's Vedders vocals and lyrics really make this album unforgettable. This may be the best debut album ever.
Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon
Pink Floyd Animals
Progressive rock at its best. Floyd's masterwork
Protest the Hero Fortress (Instrumental)
The only part of fortress that somewhat annoyed me was the vocals... and with those gone this is instrumental heaven. Bass licks that will make your head spin and guitarist that shred like no one's business.
Radiohead OK Computer
Red Hot Chili Peppers Blood Sugar Sex Magik
Refused The Shape of Punk to Come
Some classic hardcore punk in which every song offers something unique and exciting.
Rush Hemispheres
Possibly Rush's most progressive album containing only four songs. Unbelievable instrumentation.
Rush A Farewell to Kings
Amazing drumming, bass and guitar playing make this album a must have for any music fan. An unbelievable achievement for three musicians.
Rx Bandits ...And the Battle Begun
Blending progressive rock, ska, punk, and numerous other genres in an album that never gets old. A piece of art.
Rx Bandits Mandala
Shpongle Ineffable Mysteries From Shpongleland
Some more classic trance. I love world-music vibe these guys bring into their music and the use of epic flute solos at the most perfect times. This album is TRIPPY. If you dig trippy, chill-out-styled music, this is another must have.r
Shpongle Nothing Lasts... But Nothing Is Lost
If you're going to get music by Shpongle you need both albums. This one is just as awesome.r
Steely Dan Aja
Steely Dan Pretzel Logic
Streetlight Manifesto Everything Goes Numb
System of a Down System of a Down
Tame Impala Innerspeaker
Tame Impala impress the hippy masses with an album that dishes out eleven tracks of the grooviest songs you've heard since 67'. Sit back in your couch and let these Aussies transport you to chillness.
The Allman Brothers Band The Allman Brothers Band
The Beatles Abbey Road
The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
The Dillinger Escape Plan Option Paralysis
The Dillinger Escape Plan Ire Works
Many fans of this band consider this their worst album, but in my opinion this is their most diverse and intense record. I love the electronic interludes and quick to-the-point shredfests. Even the more poppy songs like Black Bubblegum and Milk Lizard are enjoyable.
The Doors The Doors
The Grateful Dead American Beauty
The Jimi Hendrix Experience Electric Ladyland
The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble Here Be Dragons
Another ambient album that really grabbed my attention from the first time i listened to it. Every song produces a unique and dark atmosphere. Beautiful vocal samples will creep into the picture at different points of the album along with brass solos and jazz drumming. This is the most enjoyable ambient-infused album i have encountered.r
The Sound of Animals Fighting The Ocean and the Sun
Tool Lateralus
Best live show I have seen without a doubt. An amazing progressive metal band and in my opinion their best album.

Burial Untrue
2010 happened to be the first year that i owned and listened to this album. At first i rwasn't too into it. Nothing seemed to jump out at me, though i enjoyed his use of vocal rsamples and the interesting beats present in every song, i just didn't understand it. But rafter a few more listens it hit me. This is the soundtrack to a dark night in the city. You rcan see the cloud of pollution rise from the buildings as you enter the city. You can see rthe streetlights blur as you travel through the streets, down dark alleys and under roverpasses. Entering the club packed with strangers and dizzying lights. And finally finding ryourself in McDonalds to cure some late night hunger.r

This album is SEXY. Its displays an awesome mix of dub-step and trip-hop that I haven't heard from any artist before. Songs like Babel and Strangelove VIP show off some deep and powerful bass you'll find in many dubstep songs, while songs like Subgiant and Moment in Blue dive more into the trip-hop area with their wide variety of sounds and beat structures. Sounds like what would happen if Flying Lotus decided to make a more dance orientated album. Absolutely astonishing. Came out in 2010r

Jimmy Eat World Futures
Jimmy Eat World blends a perfect mix of indie music and upbeat pop-punk into one hell of an album. The band really achieved greatness on this album and it has been the high point of the bands career so far. These songs are so epic while at the same time being very remotional and heartfelt. The last song 23 is one of the best album closers ever.

I don't get why this is getting such bad ratings, I'm sort of new to being a huge Opeth fan (I've had some of there music for awhile, but didn't listen to it enough) so maybe that is why i find it so enjoyable. I see it as exactly like their older music: prog to the max, lots of technicality and sudden changes from acoustic passages to heavier riffage, only this time around they have brought the intensity and dynamics down a notch to appeal to more groovy, relaxing and atmospheric sound. I love the 70's vibe of the album, and it's even more interesting to see a band like Opeth chose to head that direction. It's still dark as hell, and the eeriness of the songs are better than ever.

Tim Hecker manages to achieve a diverse and entertaining sonic landscape on this release. Ambient is a genre that can often bore listeners, but i found this album to be an ambient album that both invokes a variety of emotions and is very relaxing. It does this without becoming dull or boring.r

Upon a Burning Body The World Is Ours
Slowly but surely, Deathcore is creeping its way into the modern day scene and onto the stages of warped tour. Most of the music from this genre is almost as hideous as the scene that follows it, mostly because drop A# breakdowns and pig squeals aren't a very good representation of how music should sound. That being said, Upon A Burning Body is one of the few bands in deathcore that can do the genre right. The drumming is phenomenal, the breakdowns actually make you want to f**k s**t up and the music a lyrics are FUN.r

Most of the sputnik community is probably familiar with this album, mostly because of its presence in the top EP's of 2010, but there is really no denying the power of this album. Skrillex has managed to find the perfect mix between ridiculously hard-hitting dubstep and house/techno to make this a very entertaining album. You'll find it hard to find a more bass heavy and intense dub-step album.
