First heard this on Soma.fm's Groove Salad, where it has been in heavy rotation, for good reason. I highly recommend this release.Black Flag Loose NutBlack Sabbath ParanoidBlack Sabbath Master of RealityBlack Sabbath Mob RulesBoards of Canada The Campfire HeadphaseBuilt to Spill There's Nothing Wrong with LoveButthole Surfers Psychic... Tyner and Jones were members of John Coltrane's classic quartet from 1961 to 1965 and Ron Carter was playing in Miles Davis "second great quintet," when this was recorded in 1967. These four giants of the 1960s jazz scene have arranged a minor masterpiece here. McCoy Tyner Live at NewportMeat Beat Manifesto 99%This is one of the most gritty and disturbing techno-industrial assaults that ever wound around a tape post. After listening to this it might might feel like you need a shower to get the grime off--but it won't help. From the insane Jim Morrison incantations leading into MBM's big-beat machine bomp of "All The Things You Are" to the realization that as "Helter Skelter" kicks into high gear those yelps are from Alex's brainwashing from A Clockwork Orange -- the ELP brain-searing synths that close out the anthemic Psyche Out, this is a recording that gets under your skin, literally. A seminal and highly influential exercise in industrial electronica and big beat drum sounds that's way ahead of its time. Russian Lullaby is a great early example John Coltrane's "sheets of sound"style that he was just beginning to explore at this time -- Coltrane actually thought the name of the song was "Rushin' Lullaby." All the '57-'58 stuff Coltrane did with pianist Red Garland &c is good, and unfortunately often overlooked in the glare of his blistering later work.Kreator Extreme AggressionKreator Endless PainMogwai Young TeamOasis Definitely MaybeSlayer Haunting the ChapelThe Doors Morrison HotelThe Fucking Champs IIIThe Jimi Hendrix Experience Electric LadylandThe Mercury Program Chez VikingWayne Shorter Schizophrenia3.5 greatColdplay ParachutesDavid Bowie "Heroes"David Bowie LodgerDavid Bowie Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps)Don Caballero What Burns Never ReturnsDon Caballero American DonDon Caballero For RespectDon Caballero Don Caballero IIDon Caballero Singles Breaking UpHerbie Hancock Head HuntersJimi Hendrix Crash LandingJimi Hendrix War HeroesMahavishnu Orchestra The Inner Mounting FlameMahavishnu Orchestra The Lost Trident SessionsThe Mercury Program A Data Learn the LanguageThe Mercury Program From the Vapor of GasolineThe Mercury Program All the Suits Began to Fall OffThe Mercury Program The Mercury ProgramWilliam Basinski Melancholia3.0 goodBlack Sabbath SabotageBlack Sabbath Live EvilBlack Sabbath Born AgainCathedral Supernatural Birth MachineCeltic Frost Morbid TalesCeltic Frost Into the PandemoniumColdplay A Rush of Blood to the HeadDavid Bowie OutsideFatboy Slim PalookavilleJimi Hendrix Midnight LightningJohn Coltrane StardustMetallica Kill 'Em AllMetallica Ride the LightningMetallica The $5.98 E.P.: Garage Days Re-RevisitedMetallica MetallicaMogwai Come On Die YoungMogwai Government CommissionsMogwai Rock ActionMogwai Mogwai EP+2Slayer South of HeavenSlayer Diabolus in MusicaThe Doors The Soft ParadeThe Doors Waiting for the SunThe Doors An American PrayerWilliam Basinski Watermusic2.5 averageBlack Sabbath Technical EcstasyBlack Sabbath ReunionCathedral The Carnival BizarreColdplay Viva la Vida or Death and All His FriendsDavid Bowie Let's DanceFailure Fantastic PlanetHerbie Hancock River-The Joni LettersJohn Coltrane TransitionMcCoy Tyner GuitarsMetallica ...And Justice for AllMinistry AnimositisominaMinistry Filth PigMinistry Dark Side of the SpoonMinistry Houses Of The MoléMinistry Rio Grande BloodMinistry The Last SuckerMogwai The Hawk Is HowlingSlayer Christ Illusion2.0 poorBlack Sabbath The Eternal IdolBlack Sabbath Headless CrossJohn Coltrane Stellar RegionsJohn Coltrane Interstellar SpaceJohn Coltrane AscensionJohn Coltrane MeditationsJohn Coltrane Sun ShipMetallica LoadMetallica Death MagneticMiles Davis Sketches of SpainMogwai Mr. Beast1.0 awfulBlack Sabbath Seventh StarMetallica St. Anger
