A thousand blows to the head in the most questionable way you could possibly imagine. The lyrics are foul and disgusting, and the songs are so short, you start to question wether they are playing it serious or not. Whatever is true, this remains one of the most intense experiences you can have while listening to music.

Echo Tail King Defeatism
Amazingly mature yet adventurous progressive rock that masterfully weaves in a plethora of influences without breaking the tone of each song nor the general theme of the album itself. Highly recommended.
Echo Tail Fields of Vision
Way more accessible than the last albums, in my opinion. A lot of very catchy and ear-grabbing melodies, very impressive guitar-solos and even clearer production. Not exactly better as KD, but definitely the same level of quality. Gemini is one of the best closers I heard this year.

This makes Kings of Suburbia look like a 2 in comparison. Really, really pleasantly surprised. I get the feeling that they just work better as a band, when there is basically no pressure on them whatsoever. Synthpop really seems like the way to go for these guys as well. I'd say, give them a few more years, and they might release something truly superb. I'm excited

So I absolutely loathed MKL. I thought it was one of the most overrated rap releases of 2014, thought YG had absolutely no skill and that the beats were absolutely awful. This shit right here, though, is absolutely gangsta. I have no idea what happened in these two years, but apparently his split with DJ Mustard put the homie on the right track, because this is raw, hard, smart and fun at the same time. Good work, YG, good work.

A little project almost not worth reviewing, but certainly it is interesting to see what it
is doing. Four little songs around two minutes, really? This is an exceptionally small
ditty. Experiments in sounds and texture, not as boring as a lecture. Four different strokes
for different folks, the replaying value is off the vector. Samples are used without any
care, processed beyond what even was there. The songwriting is short but extremely strong,
worth far more than it might be long. Do you like Aphex Twin and Venetian Snares? Listen to
this and you won't be scared. Friends of electronic innovations, here is something small for
your times occupation.

Jon Bellion The Human Condition
Being the effort to get noticed by Pixar of all things, Jon Bellions proper debut album is
something to be admired if only for his extremely lofty ambitions and the fact that he does
everything on this album, literally. Sadly, though, a lot of the songs on here seem kinda bland
and/or like extremely sparkly pop-nuggets with really clumsy and earnest lyrics. The good songs do
overpower the bland ones, though, and whenever he tries to go for a more rock-edge, he finds
himself at his absolute best. Hand Of God, however, is basically one of the very best closers to
an album you will hear all year, a very grandiose and weirdly touching attempt to get all the
scattershot ideas of the album under one roof, and it works massively, succeeding with beatifully
written choir-arrangements, good lyrics and the best production on the whole album. If you want to
check one single song from this album, choose this one. Otherwise, this is a pretty okay debut
from a clearly talented artist, and it will be very interesting to see where he goes next.

It's good, don't get my wrong, but Ghost is just not trying anymore with his lyrics. I think I never heard such a standard-affair from him as a lyricist before, which is a shame. But overall, this is still worth a listen. BBNG are still amazing as composers, delivering nice textures and grooves, and at least Ghosts flows are still on-point. Also, every guest-artist is worth his little while, especially Tree and Danny. Listen to Mind Playing Tricks first, if you like it, check this project out.

I liked this a bit more than I probably should have. But overall, this is surprisingly solid, even if he is biting Gambino and Tyler all of the time. Somehow, I ended up enjoying Let It Breathe a hell of a lot, though. And that's why this gets a 3 from me, because it has a 10-minute long song full of Jaden that wasn't completely unlistenable.

Drake Views
Everything on here, Drake has done better and more interesting before. Add a creepy victim-complex, borderline disturbing insights into Drakes mind and some of the most stale production he ever hopped on, and yeah, this is the definition of a filler album. It's very cohesive, true, but also the most tired Drake project I have heard until now. Yeah, I'll skip this one.
Drake More Life
While this is a step in the right direction, it's executed way too mediocre. Production ranges
from pretty nice to pretty boring and the features are generally great. But, it's way too long and
way too jumbled. But I guess that's a playlist, right? Young Thug and Giggs have the best moments
on this thing.

Masta Ace The Falling Season
It's 2016, and it's business as usual for the universally praised Masta Ace. The Falling Season is filled top-notch, fantastic lyricism and very underwhelming beats. As usual. But seriously, it's 2016. Masta Ace can pretty much work with anyone in the game that he wants to, so there is absolutely no excuse for the beats to be as cheap as they are. It's sad, because this makes the album only enjoyable for the die-hard Masta Ace-fan, which is a shame.

Welcome to Bite-Fest for dummies 2014. To the left you may see him try to be Drake, but on the right it seems like he wants to be YG. When he's trying to be funky, he might even try to go Migos on you. Still an improvement from his first album.

I guess every artist has to start off somewhere. I mean, this isn't the worst thing I ever heard,
but damn. I can't even comprehend how he went from this to eventually making Still Brazy. Even the
next mixtape is 5 leagues above this, and it's not even that good. Empty beats, gratuitious
amounts of autotune, no content, no flows, audio problems throughout the whole tape. Damn. Picture
a generic struggle-rapper tape, but somehow even worse?

I thought people were exaggerating. Like, I really thought that people were just throwing a hissyfit because this is such an easy target. But no. Like, this is one of the most embarrassing and painful albums I ever had the pleasure of sitting through. The production values are insultingly bad, the songwriting is non-existent, there is this whole good/evil dynamic going through the album that leads nowhere, Coreys voice is unlistenable and the lyrics...by god. Lickety Splickety indeed.
