On 10 tracks you have 8 astonishing remixes. It takes time to get accustomed to it, but it's worth it. If only they could do it for Mechanize.

Marilyn Manson Eat Me, Drink Me
I'm sad that everytime Manson tries not to do what his fans expect from him, he is just totally rejected. I think this album is great. It has some bad moments but on the whole it is surprising, has a beautiful melancholy atmosphere and doesn't sound souless and totally commercial as Holywood could and the golden age of grotesque. If I was your Vampire, The Red Carpet Grave, Just a Car Crash Away, Evidence, Eat me drink me are really nice songs, you just need to accept that Manson doesn't want to be aggressiv.

KMFDM WTF?!
Filled with memorable melodies, vocals, guitar riffs and ambiances. Very few missteps. But sadly never overwhelmingly complexe, never as ambitious as we wish they were. Still, an album full of delightful things. If I had to recommand a song I'd say: Dystopia is the only average track in my opinion. All the other songs have something exciting to bring. Actually, even Dystopia has some nice parts, it is just a bit sluggish.

Solid if not as appealing and catchy as WTF!? They have removed most of the pop elements found on Blitz and to a lesser extend on WTF!? The atmosphere is darker, heavier and more energetic but not "in your face."

I love it that the best songs are, for once, not the ones the album starts with. To me Wornin', Illisit are cool but a bit repetitive. Then, Salvo and Glowbel are good but nothing special. At that point, you're happy to hear skinny puppy but you're starting to feel a bit frustrated because you want them to be great not just good. And after these four songs the album becomes great.

Soulfly Prophecy

Soundtrack Sucker Punch
Some beautifully ethereal and airy tracks. A bit limp at times but agreably punchy at others. On the whole an album which, if far from being perfect, has some really nice surprises to offer. I recommand the cover of sweet dreams and army of me, the two opening tracks, which make the album worth a listen.
Soundtrack Carmageddon OST
A killer sountrack that fitted the game perfectly but which is also totally enjoyable on its own. Lee Groves tracks are absolutely delightful and have a very professionnal feeling about them. Fear Factory's part consists in three of their best songs ever in instrumental versions. Not many Fear Factory tracks are solid enough to have an instrumental version without becoming totally boring but the guitar work on those three is quite consistent and in the end, these version reveal the strength of the atmospheric aspect of the songs.

Combichrist What The Fuck Is Wrong With You People?
Brain Bypass is incredibly likeable song for a 8 min ultra repetitive song. Get your body beat and Red are quite good. The rest is still interesting but more average in my opinion.
Combichrist Making Monsters
I think it takes a little time to appreciate "making monsters" if you enjoyed "today we are all demons" a lot because the album isn't as good and also because the approach is different. So, at first it seems like the album is really not good at all which is not the case. rtracks I like particularly=>follow the trail of blood, throat full of glass, just like me, slave to machine, through these eyes of pain, reclamation.
Deftones Deftones
Deftones Adrenaline
Deftones Koi No Yokan
Good, why so many people suck their dick I don't know. But good anyway.
Deftones Diamond Eyes
Fear Factory Mechanize
Fear Factory Digimortal
Well, my rating is not very accurate because Digimortal is really not that good. It's just, when I listen to it I always remove the three worst songs of the album (which for me are: Hurt conveyor, Back the fuck up, and byte block) and replace them by the three songs of the digipack version which are actually as good as the best ones of the album. Repentance and Dead Man Walking could have been singles and add two catchy choruses to the album, Strain VS resistence isn't that good but has a good intro and bridge, definitly better than Hurt conveyor or Back the fuck up. So with those changes, Digimortal still has flaws, but the general quality of the album becomes a bit more a question of being able to listen to good radio friendly songs from Fear Factory. Also, Digimortal doesn't suffer from the flaws of Archetype and Trangression, synths and ambiant sounds are still here, the guitar riffs are fluid, absolutely not neo-metal oriented, coherent and not over repeated.

KMFDM Greatest Shit
The fact that most songs are 12"mixes or edit versions really decreases the quality of the double album. It was certainly done to allow people to quickly have an overview of what KMFDM can do. But the songs really are not in their most appealing form. Only one song from WWIII ? But anyway, there is still a lot of interesting shit on this.
KMFDM Krank
If you can survive the line "KMFDM is the drug for you," Krank is quite agreable and its remixes too. "Day of light" is also a good song, nothing exceptionnal but nothing wrong about it. Exactly what can be reproached KMFDM lately. Nothing exceptional, nothing epic, nothing truly fresh or inspired but still nothing to be ashamed of.

Limp Bizkit Chocolate Starfish...
There is something strange about this album. Although most nu-metal albums got me bored very quickly (I enjoyed Hybrid theory two weeks and never listened to it again), although I don't listen to any other Limp Bizkit album I don't grow tired of that one. I'm not saying it is a good album, it is just that I still enjoy listening to the songs I liked from the beginning. Maybe because I discovered Limp Bizkit with that one. I remember how astonished I was by the lyrics. It took me a certain time to be able to cope with their spirituality but slowly I became attached to them. I really had nice time being surprised by how pointless, clich?arrogant, whiny, and weak they could be (I'm french so it takes me more time to understand what's said, It often gives me a chance to appreciate albums with crappy lyrics, I know I am lucky). And well, the guitar's always the same but has nice parts. It is quite punchy.r
