5.0 classic
Ahmad Jamal At the Pershing: But Not for Me
A supreme example of Ahmad's ethereal touch, also featuring some truly masterful brushwork. It's melodic, laid-back, and extremely artful. A classic in my books.
Eminem The Slim Shady LP
Kenny Garrett Songbook
McCoy Tyner The Real McCoy
Miles Davis Kind of Blue
Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here

4.5 superb
2Pac Me Against the World
A Wilhelm Scream Mute Print
Aaron Parks Invisible Cinema
Aphex Twin Richard D. James Album
There are a couple weakish songs (cornish acid, corn mouth) but the sheer genius of the other tracks makes up for it. "4", "Fingerbib", "Goon Gumpas", and "To Cure a Weakling Child" are, in my opinion, pure joy in sonic form. definite 4.5

This album is made up of warm, flowing melodies played beautifully. It does not sacrifice musical expression for the sake of technical wankery. Definite 4!!

Yesterdays New Quintet Stevie
A bunch of Stevie Wonder tunes Madlib has reinvented in his own smoked out, jazzy style. As those familiar with YNQ would expect, it has a very hazy, underproduced vibe to it. There are a couple rather uninteresting tracks, but all in all Stevie is a quality chill out album.
