4.5 superb
Guns N' Roses Appetite for Destruction
Classic Album. A must have and must listen album for every music fan. Every track is well written, honest and well played. Though the track anything goes could have been better with some more verses. In fact a live track off live like a suicide couldve been added instead of this one. I kinda like the hollywood rose version of the screechy anything goes much more

4.0 excellent
Public Enemy Apocalypse 91 The Enemy Strikes Black

3.5 great
Guns N' Roses Chinese Democracy
Marilyn Manson The High End of Low
Everyone expects another antichrist or holywood from him. He's moved on n so should you. He does comment on politics n love but with a subtle sarcasm in this one. You'll get what you didnt expect. A lot of tracks are acoustic. No headbanging babble-babble bitch-bitch songs here. Lyrics are coming straight from the heart rather than from tshirt slogans.
Top tracks:-
Arma-god-damn, we're from america : though uninspiring but have that punk edge to them

Running to the edge of the world, Into the fire, Unkillable monster : amazing acoustic hard rock numbers, reminds me of late 80s guns n roses era

None of the tracks are bad but yeah the 9 minute "epic" track I want to kill you like they do in the movies doesnt do any justice to mansons vocals. moreover, the vocals after a time seem boring, irritating and screechy making you switch off the stereo.

Overall, if you like an artist move on and make new stuff with new thoughts try this one out. Its not "just" for alternative metal goth-posers n freaks
Vains of Jenna The Art Of Telling Lies

3.0 good
Eminem Relapse
Its a good comeback. Funny voice irritates. The beats are too good. 'We made you' is the only FUN track. Others are too dark for the commercial music world today. TOP Tracks: 3 am, Underground/Ken kaniff, Insane. IGNORE Tracks: Hello, Beautiful.
BTW... Why diss mariah so much so that you have to make a track bout nick and mariah...'bagpipes from baghdad'. This aint happening.
Slash Slash
The Scream Let It Scream
Vains of Jenna Lit Up/Let Down
W.A.S.P. W.A.S.P.
I wanna be somebody be somebody too... Nice change from usual glam era songs bout gasoline chicks n street fights. Pretty cheezy take on KISS though.

2.5 average
50 Cent Before I Self Destruct
Crashdiet The Unattractive Revolution
Crashdiet members couldnt afford to lose themselves amidst a million other swedish glam metal bands and decided to cash in the recent controversial death of their frontman.
They recruited Olliver H. Twisted as the lead singer and he is awful. Some of the songs do require a screechy voice and it suits his style but some songs just sound so awful when he's singing them.

Anyways, Im not truly a fan of these glam metal bands a lot but atleast some of them do bring out the 80s vibe to them. This album has 11 tracks...

This album also features Riff king Mick Mars of Motley crue. And according to the lead guitar player, it was mick mars's reps that approached them instead of the other way round.

1. Alone : It features Mick mars. The song stops and moves in slow motion. The drumming is fine but the guitar play is awful. 1 verse keeps repeating again n again. And solo is something tediously done and sounds like a distorted riff 10 sec sample from any glam band.
(2/5)

2. Bound to be enslaved: It starts off as an energetic angry track. The lead singer comes in with a really weird girly voice thats almost too funny. Especially when hes talking about to live is to die and stuff. Lol. Mandatory solo is again too short. (2/5)

3. Die Another Day : Better vocals here. Lyrics seem too lethargic here. Seems like just another song written as a filler. But its much better musically than the above 2 tracks. Solo is much better here. (3/5)

4. Falling Rain : Ahh a ballad. What a surprise. The singer doesnt do justice to it. It couldve been a better ballad. Nothing special here. (2/5)

5. I dont care : Features Mick mars again. I like this track. Pretty energetic and upbeat. The screechy voice does justice to this fast paced song. The lyrics are nice and solo is pretty cool. (4/5)

6. In The Raw : The first single off the album. Its kinda dark and so is its video (which i didnt understand 1 bit). The screechy voice again suits this song. The solo though couldve been longer and angrier. (3.5/5)

7. Like A Sin : Starts off with an angrier bass and the lead singer is suffering from tonsils or something big time. The lyrics are stupid. (2/5)

8. Overnight : Slow paced song. The voice is alright but the song is unbearable. The solo outro is longer in this one but yawn who cares. (2/5)

9. The buried song : Oh? then what were some of these other tracks. Starts off with a fast paced edge to it. Has a punk vibe to this so the lyrics cant be expected to be queen-ish. Midway it turns a bit on the average side. Still its better than the other crap tracks in this album. (3/5)

10. Thrill Me : Gasoline and glam swag song. Something you will hear in every single glam cd. Lead guitarist does try to bring some sanity in this track. Verses are too less to fill the 5 minute track so they repeat the chorus again n again. (2.5/5)

11. XTC Overdrive : Pretty nice track. The screechy voice does justice to this song. Its a dark mid paced song but the lead guitarist brings an edge to it. At the end Olliver does this scream that is so funny coz it couldve been avoided. It sounds like a puppy being run over a car. (3.5/5)

The drummer was supposed to be in a metal band in his earlier days. But it seems that this album has pretty easy going drumming and nothing spectacular. Plus the bass has been turned way down in some tracks.

The absence of Dave Lepard brought the whole album down ... or it was the lead singer and the inability of the players to be more sincere towards making a comeback.

Standout tracks : I dont care, In the raw
The Dead Weather Horehound
The Dead Weather is an alternative rock supergroup. Having former members of The Kills, Queens of the stone age, The Raconteurs and ofcourse JACK WHITE from the white stripes.
Alternative music grew up and shot in the late 90s and with its shot to fame also came a lot of bands with techno feel and the basic charisma of rock n roll music was lost (though i do feel that music has no definition but the sound of digging nose shouldnt be as a track on the album).Ignoring this band's future lets review the tracks one by one:-

1. 3 Birds :- An instrumental track with pounding bass and grinding drums it goes in and out of loops giving it an eerie feeling. This probably shouldve been the intro track on the cd. (3/5)

2. 60 Feet Tall :- The first track on the album. Dark and brooding, vocalist alison mosshart feels sleepy on the track or is it just the aura of the sound the band wants to create. It does build up in the end. Not one of my fav tracks. (2/5)

3. Bone House :- Going with the theme of death (dunno why?!) this song seems energetic and the guitar work is consistent. The drums are fair but do take a back seat. Alison sounds great. (3/5)

4. Hang You from the heavens :- First single from the cd from the get go means business. Vocals are grinding and drumming is amazing. It is one of the best tracks on the album. (4/5)

5. I Cut like a buffalo :- Jack white sings on this one. Reminds of the white stripes. Jack writes bout killing someone. Track is groovy though the theme is dark. Piano and organ couldve been avoided to give it a more raw feel. (3/5)

6. New Pony :- This is a cover of Bob Dylan's song from the album 'Street Legal". The sound seems haphazard though alison tries to keep things sane and tight. Guitars get some attention on this track. (3/5)

7. No Hassle Night :- Starts off almost heavy metal-sounding but get too lethargic. By now I

understood that Alison's vocal style is kinda like that. The Dead Weather's characteristic sound

is probably eerie and grinding and far from being upbeat.
Avoid this track. Nothing special here. (2/5)

8. Rocking Horse :- Written and sung by Alison and white, this track again seems groovy. By 1:43 it turns screeching and more in-your-face. (3/5)

9. So Far from your weapon :- Barring the chorus i really had to lift up the volume to
understand the almost mumbling vocals. Drumming isnt anything to talk bout. Another track that makes me go sleep. (2/5)

10. Treat Me Like Your Mother :- Kick ass song title. So is the track. Its upbeat. Reminds me of Icky Thump. Midway the song turns faster. Listen to this one. (4.5/5)

11. Will There Be Enough Water? :- Written by Fertita and white it starts off with great
instrumentation. The piano is the backbone of this track. Listen to it only if you're into slow instrumental stuff. The vocals are hardly there. (2.5/5)

The Dead weather's debut album does try to define their sound. Though im not much into side projects and one-off albums, the group does seem to bring some honesty into this album. A little more effort and their sophmore album might just turn out to be better.
The Dead Weather Sea of Cowards
Barring a couple of songs, it all sounds too avant-garde for me to digest. If i had a good recording studio where i take pots n pans n knives n make music out of it by singing im mad i wanna get laid whatever over it, you cant call it my idea of a heavy rock n roll album.
jack white needs to take rest no matter how many new side projects he starts.
