| Decent, cheap pickup if you are a big Rise Against fan. Even better if you like Black Flag. My favorites were "Boys No Good" and "Fix Me." |

| Album overall I give it a 4. I wish I could rate it higher but I just did not enjoy it like I did when I listened to The Sufferer & The Witness. That album was rockin. On this album I enjoyed Re-education (Through Labor) of course but I have to say that my favorite track off the entire album has to be "Long Forgotten Sons", the other tracks I enjoyed are Savior and Whereabouts Unknown. And as everyone else said Hero of War was inexplicably terrible. The concept and lyrics were probably the worst part of the song for me, not so much the music itself. I'd say this album is second in line to TSATW but I haven't finished listening to RPM and SSotCC either. Hope I'm not disappointed on those two albums as much as I was on this one. The main reason I think I didn't like this album as much as the last is RA has seem to lost their sing along effect on this disc. Overall not impressed but not disappointed severely. |

| I can't see myself giving this cd a 4.5 but I can't give it less than a 4. It's solid all around. I loved the Sound of Madness and will still but that before this one. The vocals, drumming and guitar work are all up to par. My favorites were almost every track but the real standouts were Heroes, I Dare You, Save Me, Yer Majesty, Lady So Divine and Trade Yourself In. |

The reason I give this a 4 is that even though it is obviously less heavy than Leave A Whisper it is still a very solid hard rock album.
It has the flow of a platinum certified album and will hopefully soon hit that mark. The flow of the music that keeps it going is so good you'll never want to stop listening to it. From the rock n' roll hits of "Devour", "Cry For Help", "Cyanide Sweet Tooth Suicide" and "Sin With A Grin" to the slow, soft ballads of "If You Only Knew", "The Crow And The Butterfly" and "What A Shame, this album is success from the 1st track to the last. Congrats to the guys on Shinedown for this killer hard rock album. Keep em comin. |
