| This is Dead To Fall's first demo, before John Hunt joined. The production is God awful, but it's a demo tape from a high school band... what can I say for this? It's weird. It's got a very '90s metalcore vibe to it, but the death metal influenced aspects are WAY heavier, like, legit oldschool death metal riffs. There's still that melodeath aspect to it, but hearing straight up Entombed sounding riffs from Dead To Fall is awesome. As for the old vocalist... he has a kind of powerviolence sounding yell, really good death growls, and high screams that remind me of Heaven In Her Arms, Jeromes Dream, Love Like... Electrocution, etc. that screamo pigeon rape thing. |
