It's a beautiful blend between Iowa and Vol 3 but its a lot better musically. Heavier in parts with great melodies as well. Joey's drumming is off the hook, Corey's vocals are better than ever and the thrashy riffing is good as well. Surprising because his other projects (particularly Before the Dawn) are boring and generic. This on the other hand, is a creative mixture of Doom/Death with some of the Gothic elements that Tuomas is so comfortable with. The album is dark, melancholic and even aggressive at times. Characteristics that are sure to entertain those who're hungry for a healthy dose of sadness and depression.
