I actually prefer this album compared to Deadwing and their earlier releases. The album starts off with Blackest eyes which sets the quality of the album. Following is the acoustic Trains which shows the versatility of PT because the songs are able to flow into each other fairly well. Shortly after Trains you get to Sound of Muzak which is a song about how music has degenerated into something that is meant to only please the masses if you will, that mass mediated music has no meaning anymore. Wedding Nails is a heavier almost Nu-metal instrumental which unfortunately loses its luster after roughly 3 minutes so that is definitely a downer I suppose. Towards the end you get another acoustic type song with Heartattack in a Layby which is not their best but it is decent. Unfortunately for me anyway since I tend to sway towards the heavier PT works, this album ends on Collapse the Light Into Earth which for me is a little bit of a negative point because I was hoping that the final song would give ya more of a punch, something to leave you thinking wow, I wonder where they plan on going.
