A few factors I took into consideration: 1. They weren't quite experienced in the studio 2. Townshend hadn't full developed as a songwriter 3. They weren't given enough time in the studio to flesh out their ideas. Even with all of those in consideration, I must say apart from Boris the Spider, So Sad About Us, and the incredibly wacky Cobwebs and Strange, this album kinda stinks. The original studio version of A Quick One, is very badly recorded and edited together poorly. The "Live at Leeds" and Rock N' Roll Circus versions are lightyears ahead of this one. This album is really for completists only as no essential material is represented on this disc.
