Radiohead In Rainbows
Excellent,Electronica, effected drum beats, and phantom esque singing radiohead delivers. In rainbows, was the first full radiohead album i have heard and i loved it. Most songs to me brought something new to my music table and im excited to hear the 2nd disc as soon as i can find and purchase it. Compared to Everything in it's right place as a single i still don't think radiohead have topped their earlier work but it is still very impressive

Sigur Ros Hvarf/Heim
The Mars Volta The Bedlam in Goliath
Blown away by conjugal burns and goliath
ouroboros and metatron are sweet
overall this album flows perfectly and the only thing i dislike is the length
and the sound in some of the songs that sounds like radiowaves passing throughout a computer
it was cool for about two seconds and then got old cliche and too overused in the middle
but overall favorite album of 2007/2008

4.0 excellent
Aesop Rock Bazooka Tooth
This album really sucked for me at first, and i'm a huge aesop rock fan. The beats were just really boring, and his lyrics didn't really stand out. Though, the more i listened the better it got and i was able to pick up on some awesome moments that i missed. It's probably my second favorite album of his.
Aesop Rock None Shall Pass
August Burns Red Thrill Seeker
Between the Buried and Me Colors
What do you call it when an intense sweeping metal soundscape suddenly shifts into something entirely different and unique midsong? Btbam has perfected this technique in songs like mordecai, with influences of jazz, and bossa. In colors they just enhance and perfect upon what mordecai and the silent circus did. They better what alaska had but i still feel that there is something missing. Colors is brutal yet almost serene at times, a partial view of what progressive or alternative metal should sound like. Extremely difficult drum and guitar patterns, with vocals to boot. Each mucisian seems to have their metal position down and rooted. Although, most tracks feature a paradigm that represents sounds from a louisaina swamp/bayou setting
a bar in northern baltimore
and even a wild west time fiddling solo.
But what this album doesn't seem to have is enough originality, btbam seemed to have just added another layer to their cake
the music sounds the same as alaska with almost no innovation.
The musicianship is incredible but there is not enough satisfying innovation for this album to be considered classic
Brand New The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
Incubus (USA-CA) Make Yourself
Life in Your Way Waking Giants
A very talented yet, underplayed hardcore band life in your way has made a cd that should be remembered. With lyrics that define a postive message and a relegious background combined with some very intense guitar and drums. A few slower paced almost hymn like songs make up this cd to be among the best in christian hardcore
