It shows a definite growth and maturity in JEW's sound and lyrics. One can relate with every song on the album in his/her own way. I think every song is amazing and definitely deserves many listens. Jimmy Eat World ClarityThis was, in my opinion, JEW's major debut (sadly, I'm not a big Static Prevails fan). Each song is great, and like I said with Futures, can relate to emotions we've felt or experiences we've had at many different times in our lives. It's a masterpiece that showcases a more mature sound from Static Prevails and gives you a taste of their probably most known and loved album, Bleed American. Jimmy Eat World Chase This LightYet another wonderful album. This is JEW's newest album, and it doesn't fail to deliver. Each song is catchy and expertly crafted. Again, what is JEW's greatest strength that applies to all of their albums and just the band in general, all the songs are able to be related to some time in our lives. This album shows just how far JEW has come from Static Prevails till now. Probably one of the greatest albums of 2007, in my opinion. ^__^Jimmy Eat World Bleed AmericanWhat can I say what I haven't already said about JEW? This is one of the greatest albums of all time. If you do not own it, you are a sad person, and should probably get it...now. It's brilliant! You'll sing every song for weeks. You will love this album, I'm absolutely positively sure. The Beatles RevolverThe Beatles are my favorite band...ever. Each song on Revolver is wonderfully made--they stand out and remain with us even now. This album is timeless. This band is timeless. 4.5 superbAnberlin CitiesCartel ChromaForever the Sickest Kids Underdog Alma MaterThis album has convinced me that Forever the Sickest Kids is the best band to have ever lived. Underdog Alma Mater is easily my favorite album every produced. They are lyrically and musically superb--every song is catchy and memorable. They also happen to be rather good-looking, but i digress. Paramore Riot! The Rocket Summer Do You FeelThrice The Alchemy Index Vols. III & IV4.0 excellentFoo Fighters Echoes, Silence, Patience & GraceEchoes, Silence, Patience, & Grace is a great album. Everything sounds amazing, in my opinion. While the rock songs are awesome (The Pretender, Let it Die), the soft, nostalgic ballad happens to be (in my opinion) the greatest thing about this album. Each song is different, but equally well done. One of the best albums of 2007. ^__^Maroon 5 Songs About JaneMaroon 5's excellent and unforgettable debut still amazes me every time I hear it. Adam Levine's voice is phenomenal. All the songs are great and they tell a beautiful, yet heartbreaking story. Motion City Soundtrack Commit This to MemoryParamore All We Know Is FallingRadiohead In RainbowsThe Hush Sound Like VinesThrice The Alchemy Index Vols. I & IIThe Alchemy Index is one of my favorite albums. I love Thrice's innovative ideas. They are always trying new, amazing things with their sound. I find the water portion of this album to be the most outstanding. The lyrics are beautiful (they've got a splendid vocabulary) and poetic (particularly Open Water, my favorite song, by the way). The effects are also astounding. Each song pulls you into an entirely different universe and shows you something you've never seen or heard before. This album is original, poetic, and brilliant. 3.5 greatAmy Winehouse Back to BlackI think Amy Winehouse has such great potential. I love her voice. This album is also not even quite that awful. I personally love three tracks (Love is a Losing Game, Tears Dry on Their Own, and Wake Up Alone). Her voice is so emotional; you can hear the pain and almost feel the struggles that she's been through. I really love that aspect of her music; the pathos. Unfortunately, I don't think every song is amazing, but I don't think it's all that bad. It's just not my favorite.Cartel CartelChristina Aguilera Back to BasicsDeath Cab for Cutie PlansFall Out Boy Take This to Your GraveMae The EverglowMaroon 5 It Won't Be Soon Before LongMany say that they are disappointed with Maroon 5's sophomore album. I, however, have grown to love it. The infectious, 70's sounding pop (can't think of a better word) songs are great, as are the slow ballads. I definitely recommend this album, but if you are one who cannot accept change, then I suppose you wouldn't appreciate this album for the great work that it is.Motion City Soundtrack Even If It Kills MeThe Beatles 1The Maine The Way We Talk EPThe Rocket Summer Calendar DaysThe Rocket Summer Hello, Good Friend. The Starting Line Say It Like You Mean ItThis Providence This Providence3.0 goodAvril Lavigne Under My SkinAh yes, I am not entirely embarrassed to call myself a bit of an Avril fan. Well, I was a much bigger fan before her newest album. At the time when I purchased this album, I could really relate with each of the songs. This album showed a maturity in Avril's sound; it was a harder, angrier sound. I like the angsty anthems that this album holds, despite the artist and my opinions on her newest work.Avril Lavigne Let GoCute Is What We Aim For RotationOverall, a very well-produced album. The sound, qualitatively, is much improved on Rotation. However, the lyrics are lacking the ingenuity featured on Same Old Blood Rush With a New Touch. A great album for the summer. Recommended track: Time.Fall Out Boy Infinity on HighFall Out Boy From Under the Cork TreeThe Hush Sound Goodbye Bluesi was very excited about the release of this album; however, "Goodbye Blues" far from exceeded my expectations. it's definitely not a terrible album; it just doesn't live up to the ingenuity of "Like Vines". There are some very solid tracks on this album like "Honey", "Medicine Man", "The Boys Are Too Refined", and "Not Your Concern". i still love this group dearly; i just don't particularly love this album. 1.0 awfulAvril Lavigne The Best Damn ThingAll I can say is, "What happened?" I love Avril's older works because of their catchy tunes and angsty lyrics. Unfortunately, Avril did not mature in her sound. She went backwards, which resulted in this pink, chant-filled, and slightly more vulgar nightmare. I am deeply saddened by this album.
