4.5 superb
Acid Bath Paegan Terrorism Tactics
A little unknown jem from the swamps of New Orleans. Sludge/Doom influenced metal. Packed with anger, emotion, and passion. Also a good headbanger. Full review comming soon!
Agalloch Marrow of the Spirit
Not at all what I expected, but absolutely stunning. Very stripped, sincere, and true to themselves. Agalloch may turn people off with this one, because it doesn't go in the post-metal direction that they were heading, but a good surprise is well received, when its executed as well as this is.
Agalloch The Mantle
Anaal Nathrakh Eschaton
One of the few bands out there pushing the boundaries of what a metal band can be. Not only that, but these guys create an utterly terrifying array of sounds. Not satisfied with the relentless shreading of death metal? Does black metal sound like pop music to you? Anaal Nathrakh bring a new meaning to the word heavy. Full of surpsises, twists and turns to knock you out of your desk chair.

Garage a Trois Power Patriot
OK, considering it took the band nearly 3 years to release this album, and how incredible
their shows have become since the addition of Marco Benevento, I expected a different kind
of monster. However, this is still a fine piece of work by the under-appreciated power-house
that is Garage a Trois. Benevento adds great ambiance to their sound, which gives the album
more backbone than their previous releases. Dillon, Moore, and Skerik are also on top of
their game. The band has crafted some really catchy songs....with attitude. Good for dancing
around in your living room or head-banging in your car. Possible review coming soon!

Sounds great through the first listen. There's too not much that sets it apart from virus,
although it does sound a bit less produced. Its a thoroughly enjoyable listen, and I may
give it a higher rating with a few more listens. Great riffage, great leads, great melody,
great vocals: What more could one ask for?

A solid album, but it just seems far too predictable. From my understanding, their past releases are more experimental. While everything is well executed, simple, and coherent, there's also not a lot that makes it stand out from the pack.

I want to rate this album higher, because it's not terrible, but after seeing SP live on their past tour, i really hate this album. Their set consisted of 3 old songs, this entire album, a joan jett cover and a CCR cover. They didn't even close with one of thier old songs. FUCKING PATHETIC!
