Well, it's that time again for another punk rock band: reaching maturity. However, in this case, they're trying to do it again after their last "mature" album, "Chuck".
The album kicks off well with solid songs "Underclass Hero", and the gut-wrenching (and surprisingly varying) "Walking Disaster". However, from there, the album begins to "slow down" and level out. It doesn't necessarily become bogged down, but some of the songs start to sound like they've been recycled a bit too much. However, despite this, the songs are decent and mostly good fun to listen to particularly for the casual listener.
By the end, you've had some laughs, and some doubts about punk rock being original anymore, but in the end, it was good fun at the least to listen to and no where near laborious as some of the poorer punk rock albums such as Bad Religion's "The Grey Race".
Recommend Songs: Underclass Hero, Walking Disaster, Ma Poubelle, and The Jester. |
