This is an excellent pop rock album from a strong pop band. The songs on this album, though they may be very simple and predictable at times, are well written and very catchy. The minimalistic nature of the album is a lot more understandable when you bear in mind that Rivers Cuomo was a celibate Buddhist for two years prior to this album. In my opinion it is Weezer's most underrated album and last sincere release. It cannot be judged by the singles because "Beverly Hills" and "We Are All On Drugs" are among the weakest songs on the album. |
