Their best release yet, definitely the best *sounding* release, finally feels like they're really coming into their sound. Anyway it's a nice one, glad the avg is sitting high here.

idk how this will go over around these parts but if you're into any kind of theater kid rock shit this definitely slaps. The production is some of the worst modern production I've heard, at least on the spotify release tho. I'm not even usually super picky about this shit but that compression is so bad at higher volumes.

Admittedly never listened to these guys outside of a few tracks and finally just made the jump today when my coworker was telling me about this album, wound up enjoying it quite a bit, was surprised by the Tool influence in the guitar tone and some of the riffing but it's well utilized and welcome here.rSome great subtle spice in the instrumentation, vocals are a little Matt Pike worship for me but they work well enough with the music.

Eidola Eviscerate
This band used to be interesting and at least unique enough to have a sound that felt like was theirs and i couldn't get from other adjacent bands. rSad to see them put out this djeneric metalcore bullshit. The album still has its moments and when they sound like Eidola they shine but the intro into the first track left such a bad taste in my mouth and that and so many other parts of this had me like, what band even fucking is this? Heavier =/= better. Also hilariously sad/typical that the lyrics telling a story about exploring diff philosophies and religions culminated in this christian toughguy bullshit.
Khemmis Where the Cold Wind Blows
Yeah Sigil is cool but the cover was ass imo, the singing is just really not good, not sure what he was trying to do there but he's pitchy as hell and cannot hold a decent tone in that low register, and it was just a plodding chore to listen to.
Spiritbox Eternal Blue

2.0 poor
The World Is Quiet Here Zon
the funniest and worst thing about the vocals killing this is their debut had the exact same problem, extremely strong for a pretty under the radar debut prog metal release but the clean vocals were absolutely fucking clown shit sometimes, and then they announced this followup with a new vocalist and he's somehow even fucking clownier.ri enjoy experimentation and weird shit and i can appreciate what he's going for I guess but the execution is so fucking terrible i can't believe anyone can get past that shit. Ossuary is like, unlistenable and I've only been able to get through the album once.

1.0 awful
Foxy Shazam Dark Blue Night
I miss the Flamingo Trigger/Introducing days so much. Self Titled is also a very fun album. Church wasn't great but I didn't viscerally hate it like everything after that.rMusically this might not be a miss but I absolutely can't stand Nally's voice anymore. He's unlistenable for me here, nails on a chalkboard, literally everything he's singing sounds like dogshit and I couldn't get halfway through this.
