My Bloody Valentine Sunny Sundae Smile
The pinnacle of their noise pop era, Sunny Sundae Smile marks a transitional period for the band, as lyricist and lead singer David Michael Conway left the band after the album's production. What he left behind was his best lyrical and singing work. The lyrics and their hidden meanings provide significant intrigue and an element of bittersweetness to the album, while the evolving and finally maturing noisy guitar sound creates walls of immense noise, coupled with brilliant percussion work.r"Sunny Sundae Smile" is seemingly the weakest track on the album, with a volume conflict between vocal and instrumentation tracks, but it's a banger nonetheless.r"Paint a Rainbow" is both pleasant and horrifying - the lyrics describe necrophilia, but it paints it in such a beautiful light, thanks to David's r"Kiss the Eclipse" is one of my favorite songs. It's delightfully sung - juxtapose this with the emotions the lyrics give off. I can't put into words how much I like this song.r"Sylvie's Head" is a more carefree song that reminds me of middle school - talking crap about others - but continues the tradition of marrying excellent vocals, horrifying lyrics, and banging noisy sound.rTo sum this album up: Unexpected excellent vocal work, lyrics that turn a sweet song into a horror song, and amazing, poppy noise.

If you like twee married with noise, this album is one of the best. It's bittersweet, the instrumentation matches this sentiment, and it's brilliantly executed. "Please Lose Yourself in Me" and "The Things I Miss" stand out as some of MBV's best songs, but the rest are mediocre to good tracks - nothing that stands out.

My Bloody Valentine Geek!
A much better album with more interesting music, better vocals by David Conway, a noisy sound by Kevin Shields, and excellent percussion from Colm O'Coisoig. Although long-time bassist Debbie Googe joined with this album, her contributions aren't that noticeable.rThere isn't any bad tracks on this album, though none stand out.r"No Place to Go" is a great track, filled with overpowering yet controlled noise, but it doesn't resonate in the head for very long.r"Moonlight" is a bit slow for my liking, though still a good track. Conway's vocals aren't perfect for the track, unfortunately - they're not consistent in their depth.r"Love Machine" is the weakest track in the EP, but it's not terrible.r"The Sandman Never Sleeps" is one of my favorites from this early era, combining the best traits of Conway's singing and lyric writing with some of the better instrumentation from this era of MBV.rOverall, a solid album, but their sound greatly improves in later albums.
My Bloody Valentine Strawberry Wine
To sum this single up: MBV doesn't know how to implement their vocals yet. The noise is still there, although toned down since Sunny Sundae Smile, but the vocals aren't yet there. Still, the music bangs. All three tracks are good, although none of them are great.

Unfortunately, this album is let down by Kevin Shields's vocals being meh. It retains the excellent instrumentation MBV's known for, but it's admittedly weaker in this EP than it is in other albums.

My Bloody Valentine The New Record By My Bloody Valentine
Although an improvement on instrumentation over Geek!, the lyrics and vocals are "sucky" compared to their prior work. Conway's overt Lovecraftian lyrics disappear and intrigue is lost due to it. Still an average album, thanks to the improved production quality.
