5.0 classic |
Big Thief Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You |
Big Thief has some sort of magic on this album that I've never heard anywhere else in my life. I don't even know what to say right now. It's perfect. |
Billy Woods Aethiopes |
I can see this becoming a 5 honestly. These instrumentals are unforgettable and unique as all hell. My first few spins I simply felt a little unnerved by the experience, but soon found that I couldn't get songs like Asylum, Wharves, NYNEX, and Remoseless out of my head. oh yeah, and I also couldn't get every other song out of my head either. Lyricism so dense and evocative that I'm still puzzling out what some of it means, but I think the impression that each song is supposed to give is clear. Billy Woods is a master of his craft. |
King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms and Lava |
A fun, jazzy, sci fi romp. But surprising and inventive in terms of both its sound and lyrics. This album will probably really appeal to you if you like jazz as a genre at all. I personally consider it a masterpiece, one of Gizzard's best. |
King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard Omnium Gatherum |
King Gizzard weaves all of their varied musical interests into one cohesive project, with some of the most pointed and inventive lyrics, and some of the most fun rhythms and riffs they've ever cooked up. Tentatively giving it a 10/10 for now, because it just keeps getting more fun with every listen. Also, Candles is probably going to be my most played song of 2022. |
Richard Dawson The Ruby Cord |
