We all laugh and mock this album for having been deemed as better than "Nevermind" by SPIN magazine in 1991, but looking back now... we were total morons.
There's an alternate universe where the Fannies outshined the grunge scene, and post-grunge never happened. That would've meant no Creed, no The Calling, no BUSH... we missed out. Oh well, at least the indie scene still benefited from mister Kurt Cocaine's works of art, so I guess the growth of the PNW underground scene caused by nirvana's breakout outweighs the negatives brought by the later inceptions of grunge.
Still, maybe that other future might've been nicer. A Fannie-filled future where Columbine probably didn't happen, since power-pop is too gleeful for edgelords who listen to the radio. Probably not though.

Oh yeah also this album is the *** and you should listen to it!

1.0 awful
Coughs Secret Passage
El C贸modo Silencio de los Que Hablan Poco Run Run
Green Day American Idiot
I already don't like Green Day, mainly due to Billie Joe Armstrong having the most annoying singing voice known to man, but this might be the worst rock/punk (if you can even call it that) album I've ever heard in my whole life.
Bad vocals, terrible lyricism that's extremely cringeworthy (to the point of it being laughable) at a lot of points, boring instrumentals and just generally bland and grating song-writing. Only 13 year-olds and tasteless plebs can say this is a great album with a straight face.
Least punk-like punk band of all time. Should've stayed out of the mainstream since nobody would've cared for them otherwise, since there are hundreds of underground bands as boring and insulting as Green Day that were never noticed because they weren't signed. Wish Green Day was like that.
The fact that this has anything over 2 stars on this website is an insult to the entire music community.
*** this awful album and *** this ***ty band.
