Brandon Heath Don't Get Too Comfortable
A surprisingly good record with a mellow, everyman vibe. Full of good songs that warm the heart and set you at ease. Lyrics are a bit forceful occasionally, but not to the point where its unenjoyable. This record is sad in a way, it shows CCM actually has talent but the majority of them would rather make radio fluff with a Jesus label. Cool.

Newsboys Take Me To Your Leader
An oddly fun album with some good ol' Newsboys cheese. In all seriousness, this album
kinda slaps. It has this old-esque sound to it combined with strange writing, catchy
melodies, semi-religious lyrics. This combination makes an incredibly weird sound, but
they do it with such passion and charisma I find it hard to care. There's actual good
songs on here too, Breathe (plus its second version) and Lost the Plot are really good
songs. This band really confuses me, but I can't help but groove along to their dumb
songs anyway haha.

I feel like this band had a lot of potential. The hardcore songs do indeed have their moments. "Ded" is easily the best song on here, and I adore the transition from hardcore/nu metal elements to more soulful acapella/classical sounding harmony. However, the rest of the CD feels rather cookie cutter and does little to inspire outside of some select tracks. Even "Ded", as good as it may be, feels like it could've been expanded upon, as it ends too abruptly for my taste.
Linkin Park A Thousand Suns
Linkin Park Living Things
Max Corbacho BreathStream
Newsboys Step up to the Microphone
It is insane how this album has great stuff like Entertaining Angels, Always and the Tide
but also oddly placed goofy songs. Although the cheesy stuff isnt too bad it makes a
weird contrast and brings the album down. Tbh they should've stuck with the Entertaining
Angels sound, a whole string based/old rock sound seems like something they could totally
be capable of.
