Brandon Heath Don't Get Too Comfortable |
A surprisingly good record with a mellow, everyman vibe. Full of good songs that warm the heart and set you at ease. Lyrics are a bit forceful occasionally, but not to the point where its unenjoyable. This record is sad in a way, it shows CCM actually has talent but the majority of them would rather make radio fluff with a Jesus label. Cool. |

Newsboys Take Me To Your Leader |
An oddly fun album with some good ol' Newsboys cheese. In all seriousness, this album
kinda slaps. It has this old-esque sound to it combined with strange writing, catchy
melodies, semi-religious lyrics. This combination makes an incredibly weird sound, but
they do it with such passion and charisma I find it hard to care. There's actual good
songs on here too, Breathe (plus its second version) and Lost the Plot are really good
songs. This band really confuses me, but I can't help but groove along to their dumb
songs anyway haha. |

A little by the numbers occasionally, but nonetheless a very pretty, well made, and
