5.0 classic
blink-182 Blink-182
This is the best Blink 182 album of all time. There is no debate. It was Blink at their pinnacle.
The direction I wish they would still be traveling in today. But for reasons unknown they have
decided to regress and appeal to a new generation of high school kids with "Nine". This record saw
Blink grow up and speak about adult situations, which complimented my venture into adulthood. This
album was released on my 21st birthday. I was experiencing life first hand at that time, much more
than ever before, which is why this album ranks as a relatable classic in my opinion. I credit
Jerry Finn (RIP) for the master production on this record. If only he were still here today and
could get Blink 182 back on track.
My favorite tracks from the album (in no order): ALL OF THEM
The Gaslight Anthem The '59 Sound
Muthafukin timeless. This record is a classic. It whisks you away to a time that most of, if not all, never really experienced but I'm sure secretly wished they lived in. I was introduced to this band by chance. It was back in 2008, Gaslight was opening for Alkaline Trio and earlier that day were doing an instore performance/meet and greet at Park Ave CDs (Winter Park, FL). My buddy and I went to check them out and were blown away by their performance. Their sound was something I didn't realize I needed in my life. I scooped up that record, spoke with the guys and saw them perform again later that night. They actually recorded and released that performance on vinyl a year or so later. That record still gets lots of spins in my house, car and work. A classic without a doubt. rMy favorite tracks from the album (in no order): ALL OF THEM

4.5 superb
Alkaline Trio Good Mourning
Up there with Crimson, From Here to Infirmary and Goddamnit, Good Mourning sits alongside the best Alkaline Trio albums thus far. Matt & Dan may not see it that way (Matt's voice was giving him major fits during the recording of the record, which he and Dan admitted made him a not so pleasant person to work with). I though Matt's scratchy voice made the record what it is. I can't imagine how different this record would sound if Matt's voice was fine. I'm sure it would have still been a fucking great record but the rawness of what it was really makes it. This was the first record that came out after I got into Alkaline Trio. I can listen to this record anytime, anyplace and never get tired of it. The radio songs (All On Black & We've Had Enough) are actually my least fav on the album but that doesn't mean too much because I still love them very much. Man I wish Jerry Finn was still with us and could get back in the studio with ALK3, I feel he's the missing puzzle piece that would elevate newer releases like "Is This Thing Cursed?" to greater heights (like Good Mourning & Crimson). rMy favorite tracks (in no order): All of them!
Alkaline Trio From Here to Infirmary
From Here to Infirmary was my first introduction to Alkaline Trio. I had heard Radio years prior but didn't investigate into ALK3 until I saw this record on the shelf of my local record store (shout out to Park Ave CDs in Winter Park, FL!). I snatched it up and didn't take it out of my car's cd player for months straight. Such a great written record with the right amounts of grittiness. Its one of the handful of ALK3 records I provide as introductions to friends who are interested in the band. Crawl is one of my personal fav Dan songs. So many killer songs on this record!rMy favorite tracks (in no order): All of them!
Alkaline Trio Crimson
What a way to start and end a record. The piano and lead into on Time to Waste is A+. Smoke is one of Dan's most underrated songs. In between those 2 songs is one of the best written and arraigned records in Alkaline Trio's history. This record, to me is out of this world. I go back and listen to is in full quite frequently. I loved it then and still love it today. IMO this is Matt, Dan and Derek at their best. rMy favorite tracks (in no order): Sadie, Time To Waste, Smoke, I Was A Prayer, Prevent This Tragedy and Burn.
Alkaline Trio Goddamnit
Its as close to a classic as you can get. Cringe is a nearly perfect opening song. It hits all the way through. Has a great mix of tracks that slap you in the face hard, make you think, reminisce of past loves and drinking while you try not to crack your head open on your kitchen floor, to prove that you have brains.rMy favorite tracks off the album (in no order): Nose Over Tail, Cringe, Trouble Breathing, As You Were, San Francisco, Sorry About That and Southern Rock (but pretty much all of them).
Box Car Racer Box Car Racer
A near classic. Tom provided us a glimpse of the future (direction of Blink 182 and AVA). It was
such a fresh separation from the humor Blink provided. Still one of my favorite records of all
time.

My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): ALL OF THEM
Elder Brother Stay Inside
Such a great, dark and well written album. It has multiple time playability. Highly enjoyed this one and added to my ever growing list of favorite albums.
New Found Glory New Found Glory
My intro to NFG. A friend of mine got me a ticket to their show in Orlando, tour was promoting
this release. I was instantly hooked to their stage presence. Bought this record on CD at their
merch booth and got it signed by most of the guys after the show. Even at 37 now, I can still give
this record a spin. Great record from top to bottom.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): Hit or Miss, Eyesore, Better Off Dead, Black and
Blue and Ballad For the Lost Romantics.
The Gaslight Anthem Sink or Swim
This record hits with fury. If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and give it some spins. It's raw, full of energy, lyrics about life and growing up and relatableness (not a word but it should be).rMy favorite tracks from the album (in no order): ALL OF THEM
The Gaslight Anthem Live at Park Avenue
I was there. So perhaps my review might be biased. But it isn't. This band is one of the best bands that no one has ever heard of. It's a shame they hung it up.
The Gaslight Anthem Handwritten
Masterfully written and delivered by Brian Fallon. "Here, in the dark, I cherish the moonlight,
I'm in love with the way you're in love with the night, and it travels from heart, to limb, to
pen."
My favorite tracks from the album (in no order): Mae, 45, Desire, Mulholland Drive, Handwritten
and Howl (but really they're all great)

4.0 excellent
Alkaline Trio Maybe I'll Catch Fire
A truly excellent album by Alkaline Trio. Love Madam Me and You've Got So Far to Go. And of course, the song that introduced me to Alkaline Trio almost 20 years ago, RADIO. Such an aggressive and emotional record. There was no sophomore slump by ALK3 with this one.rMy favorite tracks from the record (in no order): Madam Me, You've Got So Far to Go, Fuck You Aurora, She Took Him to the Lake and Radio.
Alkaline Trio Agony and Irony
I freaking love this album. Perhaps I love it so much because of the time in my life when it came out made it even more relatable. I had just broken up with my fiancé at the time. This record is Alkaline Trio's most polished sounding album. It was just plain clean. Some people hated that, I thought the "clean record studio sound" worked well with the songs. I wore this cd out in my car and still go back and listen to it on occasion (even though I'm happily married with the fiancé I broke up with at that time). rMy favorite tracks of the record (in no order): I Found Away, Live Young, Die Fast, Calling All Skeletons, Do You Wanna Know?, Love Love, Kiss Kiss and Help Me.
blink-182 Cheshire Cat
This record was the starter wife to Blink 182. A perfect launching point, with brighter days
ahead. To this day I enjoy listening to it. Fast and fun record ('might call him a whore, but just
look where he's at, cause he is the one that scores"). Love me some old Blink.
My favorite tracks from the album (in no order): M+M's, Touchdown Boy, Toast and Bananas,
Carousel, Romeo and Rebecca & Wasting Time.
blink-182 Take Off Your Pants And Jacket
This record was released the summer I graduated from high school and provided the soundtrack for
my friends and I summer. Everywhere we went Blink went with us, including their tour promoting
this album which was a great one (I think NFG opened up for them and a lot of the material
recorded for the Mark, Tom and Travis Show came from that tour). The record is a fun ride with a
hint of the seriousness (STFtK) that would lead into their next (and best) record. Collected all
of the different cd covers containing different bonus songs. Plus what a great intro song (Anthem
Part Two)!
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): Story of a Lonely Guy, Please Take Me Home, Every
Time I Look For You, Online Songs, Anthem Part Two, Stay Together For the Kids, First Date, The
Rock Show and Reckless Abandon.
blink-182 Dude Ranch
This record was the trophy wife to Cheshire Cat's starter wife. I remember Friday nights with
friends listening to this record front to back in my car's cd player. I still give it some spins
to this day. A great intro record to those that have never listened to Blink (if those people
exist).
My favorite tracks from the album (in no order): Dammit, Apple Shampoo, Emo, Josie, Waggy,
Pathetic & Dick Lips.
blink-182 The Mark, Tom and Travis Show
Such a fun record. My friends and I used to get stoned in my friends garage and listen to this
record all the time. Funny banter that would not fly in today's super hurt feelings society. Man
Overboard had to be about Scott, right...right?

My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): ALL OF THEM
blink-182 Neighborhoods
Never understood the hate for this record. I thought it was great. Not nearly as great as the self
titled record but much better than either California or Nine. Again, Jerry Finn (RIP) did a great
job piecing this one together, even though Mark, Tom and Travis recorded most if not all of it in
separate studios. It's a shame that this was the final album Jerry Finn worked on with Blink,
prior to his death. It was a unique record, different from their other ones and seemed to have a
lot of inspirations from +44 and AVA material. I still wish this is the direction Blink went on,
instead of regressing to high school content sung by 40 year old dudes. Do yourself a favor and
give Neighborhoods another spin.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): Ghost On The Dancefloor, After Midnight, Love Is
Dangerous and Wishing Well.
New Found Glory Sticks and Stones
Fantastic follow up to their self titled record. It's an excellent Pop Punk record that you can
still listen to today. My Friends Over You propelled them to the MTV TRL platform. Such fun times
back then.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): Head On Collision, The Story So Far, Forget My
Name, Understatement and It's Been a Summer.
New Found Glory Coming Home
NFG fans either hated or loved this record when it was released. There didn't seem to be a middle
ground. I personally loved it. I was getting older and not relating with the standard pop punk
recipe of growing up sucks, parents don't understand me, etc. which bands like Good Charlotte and
Simple Plan were still spewing at the time. This record dealt with more mature content, which was
a welcome sight/sound. Kind of reminded me (personally) when Blink 182 released their self titled
album and how much it resonated with me. For those reasons, I place this record near the top of
NFG's catalog.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): Make Your Move, Oxygen, On My Mind, Boulders,
Familiar Landscapes and Connected.
The Gaslight Anthem American Slang
An excellent Jersey rock record that is relatable even if your not from the area. A nice change of
pace release after the nostalgic masterpiece they released a couple years prior (The '59
Sound).rMy favorite tracks from the album (in no order): Old Haunts, American Slang, Bring It On
and The Queen of Lower Chelsea. r

3.5 great
Alkaline Trio This Addiction
"This Addiction" grew on me. At first I was disappointed by this release. Not that I hated it, I just expected more from the Trio. As time passed, I gave it more listens and fell in lust with it. It really is a great release. Lyrics are on point, arrangement and production is solid. I still don't care for "Pissing Vinegar" (think its one of Matt's worst songs) but the other tracks carry that one weak spot on their backs. My favorite tracks (in no order) off the album are: The American Scream, Lead Poisoning (trumpets!), Dead On The Floor, Fine, This Addiction and Draculina.
Alkaline Trio My Shame Is True
I'm glad I waited years to write a review for this record. Similar to "This Addiction", "My Shame Is True" grew on me. From top to bottom this is a great album. Is it one of Alkaline Trio's best, no, but that's okay cause after all of these years I can still go back and listen to it in full, with no skips. My favorite tracks (in no order) are: Midnight Blue, Young Lovers, The Temptations of St. Anthony and One Last Dance.
blink-182 Enema Of The State
I get it, I know why some consider this a classic, it's the album that put Blink on the map. I got
into them after hearing Dammit in the movie Can't Hardly Wait and proceeded to download all of
Dude Ranch on Napster (good ol' pirating days). Enema of the State was a good time record and
follow up to Dude Ranch. Because its a little polished and contains 2 songs I don't care for ever
listening to again (All The Small Things & What's My Age Again), that is why I don't personally
consider it one of their top 3 releases. Regardless, its a great record and deserving of all the
accolades that it received. Totally get why its on the Pop Punk Mount Rushmore, just not on my
Blink 182 Mt. Rushmore.

My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): Mutt, Wendy Clear, Dysentery Gary, The Party
Song, Adam's Song and Going Away to College.
blink-182 Buddha
Super raw demos (for the most part). A glimpse of the fun that what was to come.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): Strings, Carousel & Romeo and Rebecca.
blink-182 Greatest Hits
I mean its not the Blink 182 greatest hits that I would have curated, but a decent collection. Not Now is a great song!
blink-182 Dogs Eating Dogs
Much better than California or Nine (at least half of it).
Dance Gavin Dance Dance Gavin Dance
When Johnny departed, I was skeptical. Kurt filled in nicely. This is a great record. Some songs are OK but for the most part, in full, its solid.rMy favorite tracks from the album (in no order): Hot Water on Wool, Uneasy Hearts Weigh the Most and Caviar.
Dance Gavin Dance Artificial Selection
I enjoyed. I listen to it occasionally still. Its a great record. Not perfect, slightly above good. rMy favorite tracks from the album (in no order): Son of Robot, Flash and Evaporate.
New Found Glory Catalyst
One of NFG's most underrated albums. At first listen, I was like "eh, its okay.". After a few
dozen spins it started to grow on me. It can be all over the place (looking at Jordan) but still a
great pop punk entry into NFG's catalog.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): All Downhill From Here, This Disaster and Doubt
Full.
New Found Glory Nothing Gold Can Stay
Its raw, under produced and still was great for the time. Still enjoy going back and giving it a
listen. Some people hate Jordan's voice, I get it but sometimes those are the quirks that make a
band. Couldn't imagine NFG any other way.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): It Never Snows in Florida, 3rd and Long, 2's &
3's and You've Got A Friend in Pennsylvania.
New Found Glory Resurrection
Like the website review, this was a true Resurrection for NFG. After "Not Without a Fight", I just
fell out of love with NFG (didn't even give Radiosurgery a listen). Thanks to Spotify, I checked
out this album when it showed up on my release radar. I was pleasantly surprised. It was great!
Got me back into NFG.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): The Worst Person, Vicious Love, Ready and Willing
& Angel.
The Gaslight Anthem Señor and the Queen
4 songs that come and go and leave you with a smile on your face. Good times, good songs. Think I pissed off my girlfriend at the time by wearing blue jeans & white t-shirts on/off for many months. r

3.0 good
Alkaline Trio Is This Thing Cursed?
Although it had points that reminded me of ALK3 albums of old, it just didn't deliver, in full, like those older records did (still do).
blink-182 California (Deluxe Edition)
The deluxe edition songs, as a whole, were better than the standard release album. 6/8 is the best
of the whole collection of songs, if you disagree, we can fight.

My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): 6/8, Bottom of the Ocean & Last Train Home
blink-182 Nine
This record is like Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Half of it is solid and the other half was written and
sung for high school kids by 40 year old men. I feel like this is the fault of Mark Hoppus
dragging Matt Skiba along with his ideas (there's no way Matt f'n Skiba would voluntarily go along
for this poppy ass ride). I also point the finger at John Feldman and his corny production. Really
wish Jerry Finn (RIP) was still alive to produce Blink 182 (and many other bands) records. We
finally get to see a glimpse of what Matt Skiba can bring to the Blink 182 table with the track,
"No Heart To Speak Of", which is by far the best song on this record. Hopefully in the future,
Mark gives up some creative freedom to Skiba for Blink 182's tenth record.

My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): No Heart To Speak Of, Black Rain & Remember To
Forget Me.
Dance Gavin Dance Afterburner
Solid record. I feel like it could have used a bit more Jon Mess on this one than what DGD gave us. It was a huge dose of Tillian. Overall a solid record nevertheless. I put it in the middle (or just slightly below) of the pack of DGD catalog. rMy favorite tracks from the album (in no order): Lyrics Lie, One In A Million, Parody Catharsis, Strawberry's Wake and Night Sway.
Elder Brother I Won’t Fade On You
It's a good album. Solid songwriting by the fellas. This record really wants to be a great one but certain factors (production, consistency, etc.) just don't allow it to get there. I've listened to it in full 2 times now over the course of the last few days, but nothing is making me want to listen to it (at least in full) again. Still, its a good album just nothing more than that.
New Found Glory Makes Me Sick
Fun record. Nothing more to say. If you're a fan of NFG, you should enjoy it.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): Blurred Vision, Happy Being Miserable & Short and
Sweet.
The Gaslight Anthem Get Hurt
I get that this record is the reason that Brian Fallon ultimately put a stop to the Gaslight Anthem but I though it was a great record. Was it on the same level as The '59 Sound or Handwritten...no. But on its own, its still a better rock record than most of the garbage floating around the rock atmosphere. rMy favorite tracks off the record (in no order): Get Hurt, Helter Skeleton, Halloween and 1,000 Years.

2.5 average
blink-182 California
An average disappointment. Listen, no one wanted to see Tom DeLonge depart but getting Matt Skiba
as a replacement sounded heaven sent. Matt is a masterful writer, just look at all of his
analogies/metaphors throughout his Alkaline Trio catalog. Damn was a I disappointed when I started
hearing the singles come out one by one. Its like Mark set out to create an album for high
schoolers that missed out on Enema of the State when it came out. The content just didn't resonate
with me. I feel like he just pulled Matt along for the ride. The direction Blink was going in
after their self-titles, Neighborhoods and Dogs Eating Dogs EP had me optimistic...then this
happened. I hope Matt darker side shines on future Blink albums (the backend of Nine was a slight
improvement). The highlight of this record was the song "6/8" which was released in the deluxe
version.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): No Future & Bored To Death. 6/8, Bottom of the
Ocean & Last Train Home (deluxe edition)
Dance Gavin Dance Mothership
An average DGD record. Nothing more, nothing less. rMy favorite tracks from the album (in no order): Frozen One, Chucky vs. The Giant Tortoise and Betrayed By The Game.
New Found Glory Forever + Ever x Infinity
Similar to Blink 182, I want NFG to go in the direction they seemed to be heading in before
deciding to take a turn back towards lyrics & content that is only repeatable to high school kids.
I was in HS when their self titled came out, that's why to this date it 's still enjoyable. It
takes me back to that time. I loved "Coming Home" because they seemed to take a turn towards
adulthood, while I was doing the same. This record just isn't relatable to me. I mean, its not up
to me if 40 year old dudes wanna connect with a younger generation but I'm getting off at this
stop. Maybe I'll jump back on again in the future.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): Stay Awhile

2.0 poor
New Found Glory Not Without a Fight
My least enjoyable NFG record to date and one of the reasons why I didn't even bother with
Radiosurgery (to date I've never listened to that album in full). This album just fell flat. I
have since welcomed NFG back into my life but Not Without A Fight did some damage.
My favorite tracks off the record (in no order): 47 (out of sympathy)
