This is post-punk for people who don't listen to post-punk, music for people who don't listen to music. Whatever the reality of this band's quick trajectory to stardom really is, it's just depressing to see people label them as something truly special, amidst an already thriving music scene that people clearly cannot be bothered to search for. Neither committing to emotional potency or sarcastic disinterest, this is just the veneer of "post-punk" filtered through the inoffensive sensibilities of indie-pop.
