| Sounds nothing like Blood Incantation but whatever. This is generally straight forward death metal but with some really killer riffs and occasional weirdness. In fact it's mostly fast with low as hell vocals, the production is HEAVY, in fact the closest resemblance I could say is Gateways To Annihilation. And remember this isn't just another caverncore rehash death metal band, it's definitely going somewhere with its own modern style so I'd suggest that commendation amidst the more boring death metal this year. Oh the longer songs are much more welcome than the 2-3 minute ones from the previous album too, despite the riffs not been as strong and technical which is a vibe I got from said first album. Nice artwork too, and while Cosmic Putrefaction definitely can't keep up with that Cryptic Shift album, space metal is in good hands. |
