It's pretty much a mix of (not too-) older material with modern sounds; in fact, it often feels like it's the same thing all over again, but they took a big direction change with respect to the last 2 albums which is "fresh" somehow. In spite of that, there are some songs that truly stand out and actually add something new to the album; the thirst one that comes to my mind is Brotherhood of the Serpent. Gods of The Underground is essentially a classic. Dead World is too generic for me, otherwise it would probably be a 4.5. It's interesting how the songs they didn't promote are actually the best ones, lol |
