This is gonna be a short review, and even though I'm probably not the right person to review this,
I'm still gonna.
This three-song mini-album is a gem that I found completely by chance ages ago when I heard the
third track Astral Liberation. I was expecting it to be cheesy as hell. I guess you could still
say it's cheesy as hell but, more to the point, it was (alongside Orden Ogan's music) the thing
that made me want to go out of my way to listen to new and different music (at least different
from the classic rock I was raised on and the old school heavy metal I was just getting into). I
ended up listening to the whole thing after my first listen of Astral Liberation, and I was not
disappointed. It could be that I haven't spent enough time looking for new music but this is still
the only stuff I've found like it. And that sucks because I'd love to hear more of this blend of
metal.
I'm giving it a 4.5/5 overall because New Frontier is like a 4.2/5, followed by Bringer of Life
which is a 4.5/5, and finally Astral Liberation, which is nearly perfect, I'd give like a 4.9/5.
the songs just keep getting better for me, the first being great and the last being amazing.
With my limited music taste and lack of experience reviewing stuff (let alone music) all I can do
is suggest you give this a try and don't try to smush it into a subgenre, because it's not worth
calling this a quirky prog album as such a simple definition just doesn't catch the scope of the
