5.0 classic
Trifonic Ninth Wave
This turned out to a real classic for me. Arguably the best EDM/IDM of the 10's
Ved Buens Ende Written In Waters

4.5 superb
Ad Nauseam Imperative Imperceptible Impulse
An Abstract Illusion Woe
Blut Aus Nord Hallucinogen
Conjurer Pathos
Morrow (UK) The Quiet Earth
Oceansize Frames
Rolo Tomassi Where Myth Becomes Memory
Ulcerate Stare Into Death and Be Still
White Ward Love Exchange Failure
Kinda late to the party, but this album contains the best post black black metal I've heard to
date. Dead heart confession has everything which makes this album great.

4.0 excellent
Abigail Williams Walk Beyond The Dark
Disillusion Ayam
New with this band and don't really know what to make of this yet. Suprised by the high average,
because this sounds pretty generic. Maybe needs a few more listens(?)
After a few listens => this is actually pretty good!
Hail the Sun New Age Filth
Katatonia City Burials
Mare Cognitum Luminiferous Aether
Night Crowned Impius Viam
What do you get if you put Dissection, Dimmu Borgir and Dark Funeral in a blender?
Exactly! Night Crowned it is.
This album is really not bad at all. I think it has some memorable songs and riffs I really like.
What bothers me most, though, is the production.
The drums sound way too quantized and overcompressed which only leaves for some copypasted,
computerized clicks. So far for heavyness.
Also listen to 'Unholy Path'. this song is much softer in terms of volume than the other songs.
The mastering guy must have been fallen asleep there...
It really is a shame, because I think the band deserves better. I'll rate it 4 for the music. 2
for the production
Sylvaine Nova
The Ocean Holocene
Valdrin Throne of the Lunar Soul
This gets better at every spin. I like the second half better
Vredehammer Viperous
Nothing really new, but it really bangs your head.
Wheel (FIN) Resident Human
Great album, reminds me a lot of Tool, but heavier.

3.5 great
Dark Fortress Spectres from the Old World
Job For A Cowboy Moon Healer
First few listens were great: Great riffs, great sound. But then you realize that nothing really
stands out because of mediocre track/songwriting. Its just riff stitching and patching. Its an
album that gets weaker the more you listen to it.
My Dying Bride The Ghost of Orion

3.0 good
Katatonia Sky Void of Stars
As a long time fan, I consider this to be their worst album to date. rPlus: Jonas singing seems to be improving every album. Author could be their best song to date.rMinus: uninspiring songwriting and guitar playing for most of the album. Total autopilot stuff. Its like they asked chatGTP to write a katatonia album without either heaviness or memorable parts.
