Whew wee, the lyrics and their pretentiousness on this album take out the joy in what might have been an ok listen. Thesauruses are for referencing, not cooking with. |
Decapitated Cancer Culture |
Only the Woke resort to meme lyrics that will hold no relevancy in ten years or less. Decapitated should celebrate
though, this is the first NPC death metal album I’ve listened to.
Edit: I take that back, Fearmonger by Beneath the Massacre, the “orange man bad” album was the first NPC album I’ve
listened to. |

Earthside Let The Truth Speak |
I don't know what it is, but listening to the first few tracks of this was incredibly painful. Don't get me wrong - the instrumentation is phenomenal, but the variety of vocalists used does not do the band a favor. There is a strong disconnect between the vocal tracks and the instrumentation that geniunely gives off the impression that these vocalists (with the exception of Dan from Tesseract) simply don't know how to write runs to these types of songs or that the band simply didn't feel the need to account for them, but rather have whatever guest vocalist figure it out on their own. Vocals are an instrument that needs to be taken account for during the writing process and seems like this didn't happen here. Crucify me, but that's like my opinion, dude. |

Exist Egoiista |
The only reason I give this a 2 is the instrumentation. Great playing there. The vocals absolutely
demolish all the hard work they put in. The singer is not good. Plain and simple. Screamer is not
good either. The vocal lines are so timid, feel dead, and the phrasing is awkward most of the
time. The last song proves the singer doesn't haven't much of a range. |
Gargoyl Gargoyl |
The singer just doesn't coalesce with the music - sticks out like sore thumb. His melodies and his tonal quality are painful to listen to, to be honest. |
Lamb of God Omens |
This album is B-O-R-I-N-G. Don't get me wrong, there's great musicianship it just seems like every track is a filler. I found myself skipping each song after thirty seconds or less because nothing stands out. Also, a band is only as good as its drummer. The current drummer is technically proficient, but nothing like Chris Adler in bringing interesting flavors to tracks instead of the run of the mill metalcore/deathcore the current guy offers. The hole he left continues to be obvious on this album. |

Vocalist is way too talented for a tired schtick band like this. |
